Question about Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

I bought a small DS 1704 mp3 player for my daughter. I use an Ipod, and I have playlists for her on my Itunes. I dragged the playlist to the opened mp3 player on my PC laptop and it seemed to be saving the 70 songs. However, when I ejected the mp3 player and tried to choose "music" there were no files there. When I plug it back in, the files appear on the mp3 player. This is strange. Is this an "Itunes" problem, not being able to play them on a non-Apple mp3 player? what do I do?

Transfer playlist from Itunes to Ipod Nano

Open iTunes and plug in your iPod. On the left sidebar there should be your iPod name (If you can't find the sidebar, go to iTunes menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar), go to your iTunes playlist and drag the songs you want to your iPod. For all of the songs, go to your iPod music library, even if you don't have songs, and on the bottom there should be a blue-ish bar. There might be a box saying "Autofill from iTunes library" click that ONLY if you want ALL songs from your iTunes to your iPod.
If you want to know how to put video or DVD movie onto iPod, I think this step by step guide would help you.

Try this easy way to delete your unwanted songs...

Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio Books, Apps,etc. from MP3 Player/Ipod
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BIG WARNING: DO NOT DELETE THE FILES NEEDED TO OPERATE YOUR MP3 PLAYER.
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.

How do i create a playlist?

Creating a playlist differs from device to device. If for example you have an iPod, in itunes you can use File>New Playlist. You can drag tracks to the playlist and then sync your iPod. However if you have an MP3 player which supports drag and drop files onto the device, just create a folder called Playlist1 for example and add all the songs you would like in the playlist to the folder and play it as an album on the MP3 player. Hope this helps.

Hi I have a playlist on my itunes which when I download it onto my ipod, one of the songs is missed off. This song shows and plays on the playlist on itunes, and is on the main menu of my ipod, just not...

  1. Plug in your iPod to your computer and run iTunes.
  2. Sync your device.
  3. Re-check to make sure that song is under that specific playlist (if its not drag it onto the playlist)
  4. Make sure the box next to the song in iTunes is checked meaning it will sync with your iPod and your playlist.
  5. Apply the changes you have made to the playlist by re-syncing your iPod.
  6. If the box is checked and you sync your device the song should be listed under your playlist.

Downloading music to Ipod from a computer that has a link to another ipod without erasing it. can i use 2 ipods on the same computer.

Easily, you will have to go into the itunes settings and configure it to manually transfer/sync songs and playlists. After that you can move files from your computer directly onto your ipod via drag and drop or you can create a playlist and place the playlist on your ipod in itunes via drag and drop.

I want to delete old playlist then add new

Open iTunes and plug in your iPod, select your iPod in the list to the side in iTunes. Now you'll see little tabs near the top of the iTunes window, click the one that says "Music." check the box that says "Sync selected playlists," now uncheck the playlist you are currently syncing your iPod with. Now, to create a new playlist look way down at the bottom left side of the iTunes window, you'll see a little button with a + sign, click it. Doing that will create a new playlist, now just drag and drop music into the playlist! Then go back to where you unchecked the playlist you were syncing your iPod with and select your new playlist.
hope this helps!

Tranferring solutions

nahh, you shoulden need to do that.

Ive never heard about that "authorazi" issue before...strange M8!

When i tranfer/delete files on my ipod i just open the Itunes program, connecting my ipod nano, make a ney playlist, drag and dropp the files to that list (ist on the left side in Itunes program) and then i click on my Ipod in the Itunes program (ist in the midle on the left side in the Itunes program). Then i dragand drop the files in the map i want in my ipod.

So , here is step by step how to do it
1) download and istall Itunes v8
2) start the Itunes program
3) connect your ipod to your laptop/pc
4) Itunes schould find your ipod and swow it
5) click on your ipod in the Itunes program
6) try to create a new folder in your ipod
7) delete that folder by right click on ot and select DELETE
8) In the Itunes, create a new playlist
9) drag and drop the music files from your laptop/pc to that playlist
10) click on your ipod when done with the drag and drop
11) drag the file or folder from your new created playlist in to your ipod
VIOLA! that should do it and the files you wanted should now be in your Ipod.

If you want to delete the files on your Ipod just rightclick on them and select DELETE

Cant get songs onto ipod shuffle.(daughter has ipod touch)

Hi there,
When you go into the ipod section on iTunes, click the music tab, make sure 'sync music' is checked and 'selected playlists:' is also, then check the playlist you want to use. Click 'sync' button

If that don't work go back to the summary tab and hit 'restore' and follow the instructions to reset the ipod, resync and all should be fine.

All the best
