Question about Philips Magnavox 15MF400T 15 in. LCD Television

2 Answers

I have no audio.

I recently move to a new place. I transported my tv with care. It sat on the passenger seat. After I plugged it in and connect the cable wire, it turns on but now I have "no audio".

I've tried everything that's on the menu ... no results. I did notice a "factory reset" selection. When I select, it only say "yes" and an arrow directed to the right. I don't know what to do next. How do I reset to factory settings? Would this fix the problem? Is it something different that could be fixed without resetting?

Any solutions? Please help. Thank you.

Hello there, sorry to hear about your problem,

Most likely it can be solved by doing the rest, but lets check a few things first. Do you have your cable plugged directly into the COAX on the back of the TV? That is the single line (usually black) cable, if you are not familiar try a google search for COAX and check out the pictures.

If so, do you have any other devices attached to the TV such as a DVD player or anything like that? If you do, does the problem persist on those as well? And when you adjust volume on the TV to you see some kind of indicator moving up / down to show that it should be adjusting the volume?

Let me know and we can get this fixed.

Unless you are using external speaker or a surround system, the only functions that can cause no sound coming from TV speakers are Mute and the Volume controls.

If the TV is not in Mute, then there is a problem that is not related to settings.

The TV is reset simply by leaving it unplugged five or ten minutes.

Try also plugging and unplugging a jack in the headphones plug, and test the system with headphones.

If that did not fix the problem, try connecting a DVD with a different cable. If DVD has sound , then the problem is connection cable to receiver, or the connectors that on LCD tvs are often integrated with the mainboard.
That can be resoldered or fixed replacing the board.
If that is the case call the service number listed on the user manual.

2008 Kia Amanti power seat is not working on the drivers side, passenger side works

You will need either a new/salvaged motor or switch for your seat. One way to troubleshoot is to apply a 12-volt current to the seat motor's power connections and see if the motor moves. If the motor moves (even sluggishly), then the most likely culprit is the switch.

Remove honda accord rear and passenger seats

Since you did not list the year of your honda then I will just say off the top of my head to use air tools then unbolt the nuts and bolts hold the plate that your seat is able to slide back and forth on. next back seat is easy to unbolt and if you just look then you will see places you need to unbolt to remove.

KP61S75 has 45* angled stripes.

1? you must test the power supply, the absence of this cause a LOT of problem, test a= fuse, filter, c.breaker rectifier.
2) test the tuner, i-f, video detector, AGC, section
3) if the tv has external POT adjustment for vertical, horizon, do it carefully.
4) tight any wires connector loose, or bad contacts.
God bless you

We recently moved and tried to hook our tv back up and now there is no sound.

check out the connections if you are using external source of audio/video input, check carefully if you had plugged it wrong, secondly check the speaker connections. cross check with an external seperate input. Further we need to look into the cicuit, into the audio amplifier, power or failure of the audio process. Internal failure detection will require some signal injection and tracing to the fault. good luck

The front passenger seat is jammeed. Whenever I push the button to move the seat back and forth, it only goes a short way and stops. Currently the seat is jammed forward and I cannot get it to slide back...

Check to be sure something isn't jammed under the seat to prevent it from moving past the point. Also check your electrical connections to be sure they are plugged in tight. Your seat may move to a point and unplug (but remain plugged in). Next there are control circuit boards under the seats that can go bad and cause intermittent problems.
I had to replace one recently on a 2002 Envoy.

I know this might sound strange, but there are 2 power buttons on some Yamaha recievers. Power and Standby buttons. The power button is very small and located 7 o"clock in comparison to the much bigger stand by button. Once you turn your power button on then try hitting the main power up off the remote & see if that does it.

Hooking up home theater

Run a regular RCA type audio cable from your TV audio out to your Home Theatre audio in. That is what I have done recently with my Samsung LCD and Home Theater. You then have to put your Home Theater on Aux 1 or Aux 2 to get the sound from TV. Ensure your TV's volume is off.

TV/SAT Video channel went out - Pioneer VSX516

Double check the video connection cable directly out of the SAT reciver and the video cable out from the Pioneer reciver, as there maybe an intermittant connection in them. If you replace them or sub them for known good ones, and you still have this probem, there is a switching IC inside the pioneer that has to be replaced.
