There are vertical lines display on the screet when the TV is turned on. The lines have different colours. The picture is cear because there are lines.
Could you help me please, what is the problem with my set?
We have the same problem. Tv works fine sometimes, but other times we get lines running from top to bottom of screen all different colours. The funny thing is when you bring up the menu, that goes over the lines and the menu shows perfectly. Took it to a tech who to be honest was hopeless, he rang after 2 days and said it was fine but then rang back later that day and said the main board was stuffed. Wouldn't really tell us much, so now we have this TV which doesn't hve warranty and so far have spent $130 to be told nothing. Can anyone help????We have the same problem. If there are colored lines then it could be the inverter's aren't able to continue to power up the screen but are driving these colored lines? Is it an LCD or a Plasma. My guess is a plasma?
Sounds like COF (Chip On Film) strip fault. Check this link for more details. There is illustrations [screenshots] and reasons to plasma displays. Check it out, and compare them with your TVs fault. Pull up older posts there.
Somehow when switching between the tv and the dvd my wife encountered the pink and green, thin, parallel, vertical lines on the screen. The picture was visible with the lines. I turned the tv off and on but the problem persisted. Unplugged tv for about two minutes and after plugging it back in and turning it on the vertical lines very gone and the picture was back to normal.
