How do you explain to an older gentleman how to get into text message area so he can view some pictures?

Samsung cell phone: How to text my older model cell phone:

You can only do this if your older cell phone has an active SIM card in it.. meaning it has to have a cell phone number that has service.

If yes, in your text message application, where "Enter Recipients" is: enter the old cell phone number including area code where you will send to.. and the message, then hit send.. It should go through..




If both phones are Android, you can do this:
If you do not have cellular access to the old cell phone.. you can still send a text message to that older phone but not via the phone's on-board text message application.. Use a messaging app to do so. Download on both phones the same app.. like: "Text Free" you will get a free number you can use to text to that older phone for free. Make sure the older phone is connected to WiFi so that the newer phone can text it.

This model not the best for doing & receiving pictures or texts. But I sometimes have issue above if someone has sent a message or a picture to me as part of a group message. I seem to have less issues if they send it to just me directly. Next time someone sends you one, text them back & ask them to send you pic/message seperately, not within a group & see if that helps

MMS runs over GPRS. You normally need to subscribe to a GPRS tariff, and have 'Media Messaging' enabled by your network operator. You will need a phone handset that supports the MMS service - If you receive an MMS message and don't have a suitable handset or GPRS service, you'll receive a standard SMS text message, and will be able to view the message at the web address included with the text message.

Tap and long press the text message you want to forward. The long press will bring up a list of selection
- view slideshow - save picture - forward - view message details.
Select "forward" and this will bring up a window where you can type the forwarding info.

Composing Picture Messages
1. On the All messages screen, tap Compose message. The Compose screen opens. 2. Enter the wireless phone number or email address of your message recipient in the To: box. As you enter the phone number or email address, matching contacts will appear on the screen. Tap a recipient or continue entering the recipient's phone number or email address. To open and view a picture message:
1. On the All messages screen, tap a picture message to open it. 2. Tap the Play button at the right side of a picture message to view it
To reply to a picture message:
1. On the All messages screen, tap a picture message to open it. 2. Tap the text box at the bottom of the screen, compose your picture message (see "Composing Picture Messages"), and tap Send.

For iPhones using firmware 3.0 or higher, forwarding of SMS messages is a built in feature. To forward a text message, simply
1) view the SMS text message conversation containing the message you'd like to forward
2) tap EDIT at the top of the screen
3) check off the message(s) you'd like to forward
4) tap FORWARD at the bottom right of the screen
For those using older firmware, there is a third-party application for the iPhone, iSMS (or weiSMS), with which it is possible to send text messages to multiple individuals as well as forward text messages

You'll have to call your service provider. The SIM card stores a phone number for the network's text message center. For some reason, this phone has a glitch where it deletes the center number. Your service provider might be able to update it remotely but I had to take the SIM out and place it in an older phone so I could enter the text message center number manually. This fixed the problem.

The iPhone doesn't support MMS messaging which includes videos, pictures and sound, it only supports text messages. You can email the photos to someone or yourself to get the pictures off your phone on the go.

Text messages are for text only. Pictures must be sent using Multimedia Message (MMS).

 what  u can do is that if it is picture message and  u r nt able to open it on  handset then try to  transfer it on PC and  then u can view  it .
