Codes p0501 p0700 p1753 p1758p0706

vss dead (veh, speed sensor)
A/T 700 codes are transmission errors. so is p17xxx
706 is trans mission range switch open circuited (bad switch or wires)
the scan codes never tell you what part is bad or what to replace.
it tells you ONLY what tests fail. called Monitors.
a Service tech, does this magic,. with tools and meters and gauges and special tests.
you can look up codes here.
http://engine-codes.com/

you can go to alldata.com (or get a real honda fsm book)
in the book it covers each code and now to test it and find the truth.
for example they will show you how to find P0501.
by looking at the VSS signal if good, the wires are bad.
if the signal is bad, the sender is bad. using a scope or meter.
good luck to you.

Code P0501

I doubt it.
Code 501 is for a problem with the speed sensor in the transmission which affects the speedometer and shifting.

My 2000 Hyunda Elantra returns a P0501 code. Which sensor is this?

The code P0501 indicates that the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) is out of range. This may be due to a bad sensor or bad or dirty wiring/connector. I'm not sure exactly where the sensor is located on the Elantra but it's on the transmission possibly around the differential housing near one of the axle shafts. Hope this help.

P0700 is just to tell you there is a trans code stored . P1794 is a vehicle speed sensor problem or output speed sensor problem depending on the trans type. P0501 is a body computer code for no vehicle speed signal.I would replace the output speed sensor.

Failed inspection cause of code P0501

P0501 Vehicle Speed Sensor Range/Performance. I believe Hyundai put their speed sensor on one of the front drive wheels, on the backing plate of the brake rotor. I suspect it to be the passenger wheel

You could possibly have a bad wheel speed sensor or broken wire or faulty connection triggering the code. The wiring and connections will run along your inner fender pannel
