Do you mean nothing is shown on the monitor (black screen) or that you can boot to the OS and no icons show up?

Hi,
if you power ON and your screen goes blank then there may 3 reasons:
1. you have no operating system installed/you need bios.
2. your monitor is either not connected or is not working.
3. your operating system is not recognising your monitor or need correct drivers installed.
