Cant turn on my mpio fl 350 because of discharged battery

Hey! I experienced the same problem as you, found my FL350 wich had been laying in a closet for 2 years, completely discharged.

What I did, was to connect the FL350 to the USB port, a message popped up saying like "USB device can not be recognized", ignore it, it will keep popping up, but don't mind that. I then left the FL350 in my PC with the PC turned on, and left it over night. Today I could turn the MP3 player on, resulting in that the PC found the device and it began charging. So I will leave it there, and in two hours I will go out running, listening to it :D Hope this works for you.

Creative Zen Troubles

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

Freezing at "refresh database!

I had the same problem once with my NEW one as well. You have to reinstall the firmware then erase all your music if you can't find any corrupt files on it. to get the new firmware, you must dowload it from somewhere (can't remember exactly) and then start your mp3 in recovery mode (turn "hold" on and hold "record button" until recovery mode shows up and asks you to put files on 16 meg removable disk.) the firmware to be exact. once you have the firmware files, put them on that 16 meg removable disc then disconnect mp3 and it will reset. it shouldn't want to refresh database. at that point you should delete all your music and start from scratch. I know it sucks!:(
