Husqvarna 235 oil not getting to chain

Oil isn't getting to the chain on my husqvarna 235 chainsaw. I've tried all the usual stuff like fully cleaning the bar including the oil hole in the bar (now immaculate), I've also tried emptying and changing the oil & checking for debris in the oil tank, there is a new oil pump fitted and oil is definitely being pumped out. However the oil doesn't seem to flow up the rubber channel to where the hole in the bar is. Any suggestions welcome!

Husqvarna chain saw 235 not so bad. I got the same problem no oil on chain. I bring it to a dealer and he said the spring was too far on shaft, it replace it. I tried my chainsaw several days later and no oil on chain. I was angry and I decided dismantle the clutch and pump. With my and i turned the small pump and oil sink of it... i agree that the pump do his job very well. I pushed farther my inspection. I discovered that the spring on the motor shaft was not in the good way... I dismantle it and turned on the other face.. i replaced all parts and pump and made a try. Results, oil now sink very well and lubricate the chain and the plate very well as it seem to do.
It very simple and the technician has not seen that. What a bad technician. I am not a mechanician but i know very well small engine. I suggest not to do yoursel the job but when taking to the technician, say it that the spring is not in the good way and ask it to turn it. You will see that function very well and you will enjoy your chainsaw.

My comment was not exact. The spring on the shaft who move wheel pump has not a special way to put it. I verify and the cause is that the spring is too far on the shaft. Just put the end spring in a groove near motor. Be sur that the spaces of the spring are equal. Be sure this way has exactly solved my problem.

My 2 year old 235 has had the same problem since it was new. I took it back to the dealer 3 times. they told me I had gotten dust in my oil and plugged the intake $35.00 charge(********) Next they replaced the oil pump $75.00 charge.(more ********) then they just told me that this 235 saw was not meant to be worked very hard and told me I should buy a bigger saw...Pretty pathetic when a smaller 20yr old Homelite saw can out perform a 2yr old Husky!!

Husqvarna 235 - not oiling- pulled oiler out checked oil flow from tank all OK. Assembled oil pump with inlet line full of oil and ran pump with coreless drill in both directions and no oil flow checked...

You cannot just rotate the pump shaft and expect it to pump, it has to have a throw, this is done by an acentric groove in the nylon pump gear working on a steel pin in the pump cover, the bigger the throw the more oil is pumped, the biggest problem with the early model was the oil went down the side of the bar and not onto the chain, there was a later delivery/pick up pipe to solve this.

My husqvarna automatic chain oiler doesn,t work...235 husqvarna any fixes?.

You may have gotten some saw dust particles inside the oil resevoir that got sucked into the delivery tube, thus clogging up the can drain the oil out of resevoir and run some seafoam thru the oil resevoir to see if you can get it unclogged

No problem; using a borrowed Husqvarna 44-don't know fuel mixtures (if any). The chamber for "oil"-is that engine oil (if so, what do you recommend) or chain saw oil (if not, is there another...

The mix fuel mix is 40:1. Use Husqvarna 2 stroke oil not the cheap stuff on sale at car service stations. The chamber for oil is for chain oil which can be bought at most places that sell or hire machinery like chainsaws, lawnmowers etc.

Husqvarna 235 is not oiling.Hole and groove on bar have been cleaned. The saw does drip oil with the bar off when running. All parts are clean but bar is not getting oil.Hope you can help, thanks.

With saw running and high speed hold saw close to a piece of wood and check for oiling. If still no oil, then use air pressure at hole in bar to clear.

What is the oil mixture for husqvarna chain model 235

50:1 fuel to oil ratio is correct for this saw. Be sure to use modern synthetic saw oil, not a petroleum product like outboard motor oil. Premix the fuel and oil in it's own can, and shake thoroughly just before filling the saw each time. With these modern fuel/oil ratios, serious engine damage can occur if not thoroughly mixed each time. Hope this helps!

How do you adjust the oiler on a husqvarna 268 xp chainsaw

use the control screw on the oil pump

it is located on the top left side of the oil pump casing to the left of the sprocket with the chain and bar off

turn it anti clockwise the check oil output
( no chain and bar on ) if still not right try the other direction
and retry if still not putting out enough oil

may need to clean tank and pickup filter
check pump driver and drum , check oil oulet line
check oil pump itself - it could be worn or air is getting in on the oil inlet side and it not drawing oil

to get these pumps out remove clutch and drum , remove pump drinver
undo 4 x screws and remove pump assy plate

here is web site for parts

go to oil pump clutch you will see parts relationship

cheers hope it helps

Husqvarna 235 oil not getting to chain

take the bar off and make sure the oil passages are clean. Then start the saw with the bar off and see if oil is coming out of the port. If not then you need to check the tube in the oil tank. If that is okay then you have a bad oil pump.It may have a bad diaphram in it.
