The pot or the whole coffee maker?

The pot you can wash with dish soap and warm water. Rise really good. If you want to clean the whole coffee maker you can fill your coffee pot with about 1/4 cup of vinger and the rest water run that through it and after that has run then run it 2 more times with just warm water to make sure all of the vinger is out.

Can I use citric acid to clean out the limescale from my coffee pot? It looks horrible and is starting to affect the taste of my coffee.

Limescale needs something stronger than basic dish soap to remove it. Citric acid and vinegar are both very good products for cleaning coffee pots. Using a ratio of about one part citric acid to 20 parts water, brew the pot of coffee as you normally would. After that, do another 2 cycles of 'brewing' using just plain water. This should clean your coffee pot out nicely. Good luck.

Cant get the cleaning cycle to end dont know how to get it off

If the red light is still blinking, then the cleaning cycle has not yet been completed. The cleaning cycle is not intuitive. So, here are my instructions.

With the coffeemaker off (with the red light blinking), pour four cups of pure white vinegar (no water added) into the reservoir. Don't short the amount. You'll need four cups to complete the cycle. Remove any filters, but leave the strainer basket in place. Tap the "select" button three times until the red light is on (and stays on, not blinking). The cleaning cycle now begins. It should take between 45 minutes and an hour to complete. Don't be concerned about the 30-minute long pause during the cycle when nothing happens. This is intentional and part of the cycle.

After the cleaning cycle has completed, get rid of the vinegar. Rinse out the strainer basket and the coffee pot. Run a full pot of clean water thru a regular brew cycle (with the pot and basket in place, of course). Then, dump the water, rinse the pot and basket again, and run another full pot of clean water thru a regular brew cycle. Dump that water too. And, you're done!

My coffee pot is black inside & using vinegar does not clean it

Use a coffee pot cleaner such as Dip-IT. Walmart sells a product in the coffee maker area that is for cleaning the coffee maker. It cleans the coffee pots too.

Run a pot of half water and half vinegar through the coffee pot and you may need to repeat this process a couple times to get all the calcium buildup cleaned out of the pot. Hope this helps.

Cleaning

To clean the pump pot, use purocaff, add a teaspoon of the soap to the pump pot then fill with warm water, let sit for about 1 hour, then use a brush to clean.

I put in 12 cups of water and only 4 cups come out with coffee what is wrong with this. It is only one month old

This occurs occasionally if the unit needs cleaning or you are brewing a new pot of coffee immediately after emptying a hot pot of coffee.
Run a cup of vinegar through the coffee maker twice, run at least 2 pots of clean water through to rinse the vinegar out.
This should clear the problem until it needs cleaning. The suggested frequency of cleaning is every 30 pots, but this varies depending upon the type of water you use.

Self cleaning the quisinart coffee maker

I always use a mixture of 50:50 of cold water and white vinegar to help clean the internal parts of any minerals and scaling.

Unplug the coffee maker first, then add the water/vinegar mix to the reservoir.

Place a new, clean paper filter in the basket to help catch any deposits that will be dislodged and cleaned from the coffee maker.

As far as having the coffee pot dry, there is no need for that. I do tend to wait about 15 minutes to let the cleaning mixture disolve any deposits in the main water reservoir and then I turn on the coffee maker and let it process the water/vinegar solution through it.

Once it's done, turn off the coffee maker and discard the solution in the pot. And rinse out the coffee pot/carafe with clean, fresh cold water. Remove and throw away the used paper filter element andrinse out the basket with warm water and put it back on the unit.

Now fill the coffee pot/carafe with fresh, clean water and pour that into the coffee maker's water reservoir. Put in a new, clean, paper filter and turn the unit on and run a plain pot of water. This will help to clean out any remaining residue and clear the unit of the vinegar taste and odor.

Now you're all set to start making fresh tasting coffee again. I always recommend using filtered water for the best tasting coffee, as the taste is a direct result of brewing temperature, water purity, and the coffee you use.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!
