    Thanks for next printing suggestion .

    My printer is a C3200 and has no letter afterwards. No display on the printer,so your suggestion does not apply .

    I called OKI and they say that if message is "colour cardridge life" the printer will hang.

    The guy was very young and had obviously little experience . I am 62 and come from computer industry :-))

    I got this OKI printer message JUST WHEN the problem with the powepoint large jpeg occured and so the 3 colour drums would be empty at the same time .

    Sorry can not believe this . It is very likely a SW problem .

    Looking at your suggestions and info sent I see a "fuse to reset on OKI "suggestion .

    You get the ball .

    Thanks for 1st try anyway .

    Hello,

    your suggestion is unvalid because it refers to a C3200 N printer .

    After searching internet myself and trying lots of things ,even some registry cleanup with reinstall

    the issue of a missing dll named hpz2ku04 (thousands of help mail on web sites) appeared to be

    the solution . However in all forums and blogs all people got no help . When on HP web site it starts saying there are more than 300 models using this dll but refuses to deliver it ...

    Other web site just want to sell you a registry tool . I puchased 2 in the past and it did not solve my

    problems .

    AND SUDDENLY A WEB SITE SAID:DID YOU TRY RESTAURATION !!!!

    No I once again forgot about this impressive Microsoft tool .

    All works fine again :-)))))))))))))))))))))))

    Hello,

    your proposal has a lot of overlap with what I tried before contacting you .

    I searched internet and the issue boiled down to a missing dll. I spent half a day searching for

    hpz2ku04.dll and found thousands of people with the same issue .However no way to find that dll , even on HP web site who starts saying there are more than 300 models using it but when you try to locate it ,their sw says :nothing found (sounds familiar ) .

    OKI support center said I should change all drums !!!! to unlock.

    Then digging into a blog with a answer about cleaning registry and reinstall , a one line suggestion

    popped up : Did you try windowsXP restauration ?

    No , again I had forgotten about this very powerfull tool (I am 62 and like bits and bytes)

    EVERYTNING WORKS FINE AFTER ONE LONG RESTAURATION .

    Yours

C3200 is a nice and simple LCD printer. It's dated back in 2005.

The first thing I will check is the base memory and check for extended memory installed inside this unit.

Try to see what's the max ram you can install and scale down the pictures accordingly.

In window printer setting,it may has 300 or 600 dpi. Try on that works for you. You may have other mode to help you print this mix graphic /text page.

Test print one at a time.

Good luck.

It is definitely a software problem since you verified the printer is functioning with the test page you created. You will want to make sure to reinstall all OKI software on your XP machine and reinstall it. Make sure you remove the printer from printers and faxes in the control panel after you uninstall the software. Reinstall the software and the printer. If still no go then either the software has somehow corrupted itself on your XP box, or there is a communication error, you may want to try another cable. If that still doesn't work try attaching the printer to another machine entirely and installing the software there. If it still doesn't work you probably have a failing communication port on the printer.

Hope this helps,

Tim

What may happen is that you tried to print a too big image for Printer's RAM, probably the Powerpoit document.

Remove Jpeg from document, resize them in Photoshop or similar, and insert smaller definition Jpeg in the document if you want to print them in the future.

Regarding the printer, first ensure that the printer has same problem on several computer, to ensure that the cause is not the Operative System or the controller software.

Then try unplugging the printer power cord, to do a basic reset. Restart computer and try again.

If that does not work, try resetting printer NVRAM to initial settings. The procedure should be the one below:

1. Turn machine on while pushing and holding the TWO up/down menu buttons at same time.
2. Menu window will show "OKI USER"
3. Scroll to " Engine Dialog Mode" is indicated. Push Enter button.
4. "Diagnostic Mode xx.xx.xx S-Mode is indicated.
5. Scroll to "NV-Ram initial" is indicated. Push ENTER.
6. Window shows "NV-Ram- Initial Table 1".
7. Push ONLINE and ENTER Buttons simultaneously and HOLD for 10 seconds after you see "Executing Reset" appear in menu window.
8. Restart printer.

Service procedure from Oki 3200n.

Regards.

Check our USB cable. It should contain AWG marking on it. Depending on AWG number there is a limit to USB cable length as follows:

28AWG = 0.81 m
26AWG = 1.31 m
24AWG = 2.08 m
22AWG = 3.33 m
20AWG = 5.00 m

Make sure your cable does not exceed the maximum length according to its marking. Replace the cable if it exceeds the length.

OKI C3200n and HP LaserJet 3052 Can't be in the same PC

You do not say what operating system you are using?. They are both compatible with Windows 10.There should be no conflict between the two printers. Use system restore and go back in time before you had the problem. Disable your antivirus and try and install them again. That should work.

Print spooler service not running on Windows XP

Spooler depends on the RPC service being running. But you really need to get into event viewer and check for anything related to either RPC or Print Spooler. If you're trying to print to a network printer you could have firewall issues either within Windows or your router. Think about what changed on your system around the time this problem began.

I use Gadwin PrintScreen (Free version) and tweak it to capture any size rectangle that you draw on the screen.
To tweak, right click on the Systray icon. Select properties, then select Source, put a dot in the "Rectangular Area".
I have even used it for movie type files, just stop the motion where you want to, and run the Gadwin.

Check the receive buffer on the Oki. I usually set it to the highest (88k or 128k). You might also check the print head gap if you are printing multi part invoices. If the print head is too close it may overheat and stop printing. If you have a different printer, swap it out and see if it prints correctly. It may be a problem with the JetDirect 170x, not the printer.
