Can you explain a bit more since it kinda doesn't make sense on what your asking.
1. the light is meant to be on, thats what tells you if the power is on or not, if you switch off the macbook the light will go off.
2. for the disk driver, sometimes its the fan making a noise dont be fooled by it,  or maybe it makes a noise because you have opened up a program that may need the disk drive e.t.c.

It will fill up with water but nothing else

check the lid switch, set the timer on spin, push it in so it will run,get a screw driver or anything that will fit into the hole on the right side, that's the lid switch, the strike on the lid hits it when you close the lid,if the switch is broke it kills the power to the machine,it's a safety so the machine won't run with the lid open, when you push down on the switch you should hear a click and it should spin and drain,if you don't hear a clicking sound the switch is broke,or you can close the lid, lift it up a few inches and close it down,do this a few times, when it closes and opens if you don't hear a clicking sound the switch is bad.part number 3949247 and it's around 45 dollars. copy and paste,it will show you how to get at the switch.let me know what you find so if someone else has the same problem they will read what you found, thanks

Hello my washing machine does not go into spin cycle. what could be wrong with it?

If it works correctly all the way to the spin cycle the does nothing, its a 90% chance you have a ( Bad or Broken ) LID switch.. FOR SAFETY REASONS they design top load units so that they will not spin if the switch is bad .Gently lift up the lid a few inches then lower to close ,most of the time you should be able to hear a clicking sound when the lid is opened and closed if the switch is working properly,if no sound YOU NEED A LID SWITCH and easy item to replace Good luck

Maytag stackable top load wash maching - will fill with water but then nothing. It just stopped.??

Hi. Listen for an audible click as you just open and close the lid. You should hear a micro-switch. If you do not hear that click you most likely have a bad lid switch. A bad lid switch on a Maytag washer will still let it fill BUT, it will not agitate or spin.

If you hear a click then there are other things to that can cause the symptom that it would spin but not agitate.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,

I load the CD put I don't hear it spinning at all

No it isn't, because your switch isn't tripping when you close the DVD. Try holding the lid down with your hand and listen for spin. If your DVD starts spinning you will need to locate the plastic pin protruding from your lid and extend it with superglue and a piece of cardboard. This will make up for the warp in your lid, and allow the switch to close.

Whirlpool LSR8233eq top load washer won't spin most of time

Hi, It sounds like your spin basket drive is going bad. Even tho you cleaned the brake, the pads get worn down enough they will not grab. The only other thing I can think of is the bloch that sits on top the basket drive shaft and lockes the inner tub. Sounds like you have done/checked everything else.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.

When i try to turn on my macbook nothing shows up on the screen and the white light on the bottom right turns on and stays on

Plug the power adapter in. Then hold down the startup button for 15 seconds. The light should go off and then after a few seconds. restart normally. The macbooks have a safety device that will lock up the drive if it detects sudden movements to protect the drive...
