I used this last summer and went to use it yesterday but it wouldn't turn on. Tried a new battery but nothing. I opened it up and saw the cmos battery inside. Seems to be soldiered on.
What reading should that battery have when tested? If it needs to be replaces can someone send me the instructions?

when you lock it up does the alarm activate you say this problem only started after changing battery sounds like its the mobiliser lock and open car from inside with key in ignition hope this helps
I'm thinking its the battery. Heat kills batteries. You said it wont jump start. That's a dead ringer for a bad battery. It may have enough juice to power some things, but wont run the starter, or the fuel pump, or the ignition(spark). Try a new battery and let me know!
The carburettor is getting too hot and fuel is being blocked from feeding into the engine. Make sure that the carburettor is clean and has adequate cooling while the engine is running. If you still have problems withs starting, blow the carburettor cool or use a damp cloth to cool it if starting is a problem.
