-   My GE Profile JBP79 (unknown age) suddenly started flashing F4 when trying to use oven or broiler. Read solutions and spent $43 on an oven sensor and replaced it. Apparently this is not the problem, when plugged back in, it still continues to display F4 and beeps. Any other suggestions? -   bty6768
F4 is the code for a shorted temperature sensor. You would need to check it with an ohm meter to be sure, but most likely the sensor has failed and will have to be replaced. Post back if you have any questions.

- Just wanted to follow up on your oven and see what you found out.

Whirlpool Gas Range, LP use, Model GS440LEMQ1,Serial #RP4712034 Large burner, front left side of range, has always lighted slowly. Now the ignitor does not spark when the burner is turned on. The other ignitors work OK, spark while the left front burner is turned on. Thanks for any comments. Hank
