- My GE Profile JBP79 (unknown age) suddenly started flashing F4 when trying to use oven or broiler. Read solutions and spent $43 on an oven sensor and replaced it. Apparently this is not the problem, when plugged back in, it still continues to display F4 and beeps. Any other suggestions? - bty6768Best Solution

F4 is the code for a shorted temperature sensor.
You would need to check it with an ohm meter to be sure, but most likely the sensor has failed and will have to be replaced.
