1)If internet light not on then login to router and check the summary!!!and try to diagnose the test which is there in router!! and check for ppp is it active or down? Might be authentication credential is not correct that could be the reason?
You need to folloow the steps below if Diag Led lights keeps on flashing overtime:
Click start then access control panel Go to Local area connection - properties - internet protocol/TCP-IP then use the IP Address: 192.168.1.50 and Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0. after these download the most recent firmware version for your router that can be downloaded from your router's manufacturer website. Restart your devices after firmware version upgrade.
Should you have any other questions just please leave a message.
The router probably defaulted back to its factory settings. Use your manual and reset your router back up. It may be as simple as renaming your router.
As long as the power light stays solid, then the router is fine. You need to reconfigure the router for it to receive internet connection from the modem.
1. Reset the router by pressing the reset button of the router for 15 seconds while the power cord is plugged in and while the router is powered on. 2. Release Reset button after 15 seconds and unplug the power cord of the router then press the reset button again for 15 seconds. 3. After 15 seconds release the reset button and replug the power cord then press the reset button again for 15 seconds.
If this didn't work. 1. Plug the power cord to the router, and unplug it do this 7 times then reset for 15 seconds while it's unplugged and plug it back it and press the reset button for 15 seconds and release it. Try to check if there's any changes.
I hate to state the obvious but have you tried unplugging the power and replugging it back in? If that doesnt work, you might need to reflash your firmware by downloading the lastest firmware from Linksys and doing the necessary. Alternatively, here are a few other solutions to the apprent problems you're facing, including:
Unplug power and wait 30 sec before plugging it back in WITH all cables attached.
Trying to conenct directly to the router via the "blue" cable provided by linksys to a computer's or notebook's etehrnet port. If IP address is defualt, you should be able to log into 192.168.1.1 and see settings and configurations page.
If that fails, since you mentioned that the power led light were still on even AFTER you pulled out the cables from the relative sockets, it seems to me like it might be a hardware fault in the router itself. This defiinitly calls for either servicing or a 1 to 1 exchange.
Hope this helps. Please do get back to me if the above steps do not work. Also, please dont forget to rate this solution if you found it helped you in any way. Thanks.
