Question about Samsung (SP0822N) 80 GB Hard Drive
Thanks for using fixya.
If your computer doesn't detect the hard drive, its possible that:
1. There is a problem with the data cable for the hard drive. Change the SATA cable or IDE cable.
2. Power connection to the Hard drive might be loose. Make sure its connected properly.
3. The hard drive may be bad already. The best way to find out is to try and connect it to a different computer.
4. Its also possible that the port on the motherboard is already bad but this seldom happens.
