-Start off by checking the fuse. That is the easiest thing to do. It should be in your fuse box or kick panel either a 15A or 20A you'll have to look in your manual.
-If that doesn't solve it remove the radio and check that either the ground or ANT has a good connection this seems like the problem probably hit a bump and got a good ground connection.
-Next check the fuse in the radio
-Smell the radio see if it smells burnt

Probably the clock and/or control board could be failing at random. The erratic oven start-up could present a safety hazard.

Tring to install blutooth to my xdma7715 dual cd player

The Dual XDMA7715 unit does require a separate module called the Dual BTM60, as technically the XDMA7715 is a "Bluetooth Ready" cd player.

Assuming you have bought this module, the next thing you need to do is 'Pair it" with your mobile device, which I will assume is your cell phone. This keeps it from connecting with other people's cell phones as they drive by your car.

Before you begin, you need to prepare your phone for paring. Check your cell phone's users manual if these instructions don't apply, but generally this means you find the Bluetooth menu on your phone, turn bluetooth on, and make the phone 'visible' which means your stereo will be able to see it in order to pair up with it. Usually, turning visibility on only lasts for about 30 seconds, so you may have to try this more than once to get the timing done right. Once paired, you won't need to turn the phones visibility on again until the next time you pair a device.

Now that your cell phone is ready to pair with the stereo,

1) Press the Phone symbol on the cd player or the BTM60, pr press MODE until 'DUAL_BTM60" is displayed.

2) Press and hold the phone symbol on the cd player or the BTM60 for 5 seconds, until "PAIRING" is displayed. The Bluetooth icon will flash every second. The Cd player will broadcast its "availability" for 60 seconds.

3) Complete the pairing from the Bluetooth menu of your cellphone by selecting "Search for new devices". When they find each other, the Bluetooth icon will illuminate solid, and your phone will say it has found device "DUAL_BTM60", and ask you for a password to pair it.

The BTM60 device name is "DUAL_BTM60".
The password you enter into your phone to accept the pairing is "1234"

Now that the devices are paired, you should be able to make calls handsfree, and play music stored on your phone.

I hope that helps.

Sounds like lamp is going out, if when you get lamp replaced, you can do it yourself, the purple blob is still visible, call Sony this may be one of the sets that have an extended warranty on the light engine.

My Rio MP3 player will not stay on... everytime i try to turn it on, it will turn off then (without me doing it) start up again, turn off, and repeat that same ritual again and again. I have tried to fix...

1.Connect to the computer and backup whatever music you have. 2.Go to my computer and figure out which drive your Rio is. Click on the drive. 3. Now you should see an Internal Drive icon. Right click and press format. 4. Now it should work fine, reload the music and enjoy.
