The dark green wire with orange tracer is voltage for fuel pump motor. The solid black wire is ground.
The other two wires should be for fuel gage sending unit.

SOURCE: How do you check voltage on the fuel pump on a

Hello Dennis.
When you are checking fuel pump voltage on your pickup when you turn on the key the voltage is only applied to the pump for a couple of seconds unless you go to cranking position.
There are 4 wires leading to the fuel pump on your truck. The gray wire is the 12 volt positive power feed to the fuel pump and the black provides the ground. The orange and purple wires are your fuel gauge wires.
The relay for the fuel pump is in your under hood fuse panel and I believe is marked on the underside of the fuse panel cover. It should click on and off again quickly when you turn the key to "on". Having a helper to cycle the key would be handy while you put your finger on the relay and listen to it. Just because it clicks still doesn't mean it's functional but relay failure on these models is somewhat rare.
I would start by checking for power at the fuel pump harness.
Fuel pump issues are quite common on these model year trucks.
Hope this helps you out.

2006 Jeep Liberty ac not working, fuses are fine, relay good replaced low and high pressure switches refrigerant level is good still won't work

Check for battery voltage on the dark blue/yellow wire in the connector at the AC clutch with engine running and AC on. If no voltage, yank the AC relay and check for battery voltage on terminal 86 in the relay socket. If no battery voltage on that terminal, check fuse 21. If yes, check for ground on terminal 85 in the socket. If no ground, then PCM isn't commanding the AC clutch on. Check for voltage on the dark blue/yellow wire at the low pressure switch and good ground on the black wire. The PCM provides power to the low pressure switch which then goes to ground. The PCM is looking for a large voltage drop if pressure is above 34-38 psi. If pressure is below that, the switch will be open, so the PCM won't see a voltage drop and will prevent AC clutch operation. The high pressure switch should be closed at pressures below 270-330 psi

06 jeep liberty cranks but wont start after dropping gas tank, draining fuel , adding fresh gas. Has p0700 and p0562 codes

2006 KJ jeep
which engine?
key on 5 times? to prime it? or crank for 5 sec. full?
check fuel rail for fuel pressure yet?
700s is GENERAL transmission error.
562 is.battery low (cranked too long error, i bet)

i can see you are using the wrong scan tool that does not do
transmission codes from jeep. 700 means , see all those other
trans codes you are misssing

quote: FROM KJ 2006
This is an informational DTC letting you know that a DTC(s) is stored in the Transmission Control Module
best is to own a scan tool that reads all jeep codes.
all factory codes too. P1, P2, etc.
innova 3160 will do that.

check fuses yet,>?
check voltage to fuel pump cranking/ 11vdc min, summer.

2006 jeep liberty isnt getting gas to engine.

If the pump kicks on, then it should be getting to the rail.
Sounds like an immobilizer issue (Not powering the injectors).
Disconnect a hose from the fuel rail inlet point (put it into a bottle or tub) and check if fuel is pumping during cranking.
If you get fuel at the rail, check immobilizer or ECU.

2005 Jeep Liberty has hesistation after it warms up. Code says misfire cylinder 4 replaced coil, wires, fuel pump, fuel filter

Check injector pulse to make sure the computer is commanding the injector on and off. Check that the plug isn't cracked. Check cylinder compression if all ok you may need and injector but you could probably try an injector cleaning service( not the stuff you throw in the tank)

2006 Liberty: My 2006 jeep liberty dies while driving and won't ...

Most common causes of that kind of problem are the fuel pump and the crank sensor. Crank sensor should set a code, pump won't. Less frequent but worth mentioning is the ignition switch. Do some testing using a haynes or chilton manual as a guide,. All you need for that is a digital multi-meter.
Before testing anything, check that all the ground points under the hood are clean and secure. there are more than just the battery to the block...check all the smaller ones as well.
