In order for the video to work you need to hook up both the parking and the foot brake leads so you would have to press in the foot brake pull the ebrake let up on the foot brake then the video should come up but if u want to watch videos all the time moving or stopped youll need to do some custom work so:

Short of making a microprocessor to do the sequence the easiest way is the two switch method. just mount two switches together and do the sequence.

Although the idea of only one switch and the foot brake hooked up correctly might work too.

The best way to go about it is to hook up the system as is should be and use a voltmeter to see what voltage changes are on the lines. Then hook up the switches accordingly.

hope that helps!!

I HAD THE SAME PROMBLEM AND SOLVED IT RECENTLY. WHAT I DID WAS CONNECT THE WIRES, YES WIRES TO TWO DIFFERENT TOGGLE SWITCH THAT I BOUGHT FROM AUTO ZONE. CONNECT ONE TOGGLE SWITCH WITH THE NEGATIVE AND ONE TOGGLE SWITCH WITH POSITIVE AND THEN CONNECT THE BRAKE LIGHT TO THE POSITVE AND THE OTHER BRAKE LEAD TO THE NEGATIVE. WHEN COMPLETE TURN BOTH TOGGLE BOTTON ON. THEN TURN OFF THE NEGATIVE THEN TURN IT BACK ON AND THEN DO THE SAME WITH THE POSITIVE. THAT'S HOW YOU BYPASS THE SECURITY MODE.

I connect my alpine cva 1003 to valor dv-169T dvd player. sounds come out but the screen is not getting connected to dvd player. i connect red, white and yellow wires.

if evrything is ok with the dvd (make sure the dvd is working fine), you need to hook up the yellow/ blue wires and yellow / black wires one for parking breack and the other for the breack chek the diagram on top of the alpine radio .

IVA-D106 Car DVD Player: no picture on screen while dvd is playing...

Im guessing that if you can hear sound but have no picture and this is newly installed that your unit is wired to your parking brake as a safety feature. You need to disconnect it and connect the wire to the radio ground to bypass it.

I can't play a dvd all that happens is sound you can hear the dvd but you cant see it

Was this unit recently installed. Has it played before. Be sure that the wire to the parking break is also connected. These dvd players will not play if the brown wire is not connected to the grond side of theparking break. If you need more info, please feel free to ask.

Just wired alpine dvd hu into my new car from old car now the music wont play through cd or dvd but is through the radio any ideas

If I understand you, this is a dvd head unit. That means that there is a wire that will need to be put on the parking break in order for it to work. Be sure this wire is connected.

Alpine cva-1005 ps2 not working while ebrake is up

just get 2 toggle switches and wire them up one to the foot brake wire and one to the ebrake wire ....then connect the foot brake wire to a 12 v+ and the ebrake wire to a ground ....then flip the switches as if you were stepping on the brake and pulling the ebrake then releasing the foot brake .... worked like a charm for me !

How do i bypass the parking brake switch in order for my video to play

you need 2 toggle switches . yello/blue wire to switch - switch to ground.
yellow/black wire to switch- switch to red ing. wire. turn this switch on and pulse the other(yellow, blue) 3 times and leave on, then turn the other switch off and then you can ride and watch dvd. just did it this morn. QTRHRS
