Question about Dell 3130cn Color Laser Printer
Dell printers appear to have a common fault but provide no answers yet. I refer to error code 093-921 which supposedly is caused by a tape on the toner.. this one is the cyan toner and there is no tape on it
If you are seeing any or all of these error codes on the Dell 3130cn Laser Pinter that there is a Firmware Update to address this issue. However, the firmware cannot be applied when there is an error present, so first try reseating all toners. You may need to repeat this several times before errors are cleared. Once error-free, download the Firmware from the Dell Support website and apply.
Reset the Cyan toner properly.

Testimonial: "Thank you for your reply. I already tried doing the toner cartridge test and it passed. Each time the cartridge was removed and replaced, the count increased. I tried the service manual which has a flow chart for this problem. The last step is to replace the printer. Yes, does seem excessive. Googling shows this problem is numerous and must be well known. I don't know how the machine senses a cartridge tape but if I knew I would go look for the sensor. I do have a new cartridge scheduled to arrive early next week. And no, I am not using Dells expensive cartridges. Somehow I think it is specifically related to that. I can't access the menu with a fault present. If I am able to get that fault cleared I will set the printer for non Dell toner which at one time was recognized and identified in the display window. If I have to junk this printer with less than 30,000 prints, it will be the last Dell anything that I will purchase in the future."
