Orange flame comes out of left side burner

1 year old coleman model 9949-750 grill was working fine one day and the next day I had only an orange flame on the left side. Right side works perfect. Phoned Coleman and they said must be the regulator and that is not warrantied. Should take it to the nearest Coleman service center (3 hours away!) I called the company that supposedly deals with these and they told me that they don't really repair them just sell parts (really only the regulator). I don't think it can be the regulator because it feeds both sides and one side works fine. I tried to blow out the tubes in case there was something blocking and this had no effect. Any suggestions?

Try cleaning the orfice that feeds that tube sometimes you can get debris in the lines when changing tanks that can clog them or the valve itself.

Orange flames on two Blue-Flame heaters, dual fuel, currently running propane.

Could be that the burner needs cleaning dirt in the burner tubes

Left flame has orange flame.

From what you described, it sounds like the burner's venturi valve is clogged. Probably by a spider's nest. Remove the burner and clean it.

Hope this helps and Happy Grilling. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Hi my coleman 533 has orange flame not blue it has good pressure i have taken jet of end of generator and cleaned it

Orange or yellow flame is usually an indication of too much fuel, or not enough air mixture. Make sure all areas where burners would receive air from, are cleaned of spider webs, debris etc., and be sure when set up, nothing is close to it that would block that air flow from entering.

We have a spirit grill with 3 burners. I can light the grill, but burners 1 & 2 don't have a nice line of blue flame like burner 3. Burner 2 is especially bad with orange flames on the right and left...

Are you sure there's adequate gas in the tan? If so do the following:

Disconnect the LP tank from the grill hose. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect to the tank. Open the tank valve VERY,VERY SLOWLY, until it is full open. Light your burners individually and turn to highest flame setting, before lighting the next burner and so on.

If that solved your problem GREAT. Remember to turn the tank on that way in the future.
If it didn't you'll need to remove the burners and clean each one.

Hope this helped to get you back up and grilling again.

Side burner on propane gas grill burns with orange flame ratheer than blue

here is a link to a page that shows what the colors of the flame should look like and what causes the orange instead of the blue flame.
I would begin by checking to be sure you do not have a spider or a cob web in the burner partially blocking the gas or the air intake.
