PSP LCD slightly damaged

So I got a PSP 3004 back in 2010, installed custom firmware etc. For three years I was playing ok. In 2013, the DC port broke so I couldn't charge it anymore. Now I've just got a battery charger to charge the battery seperately and use the PSP. When I turned it on after such a long time, I noticed that the resolution is slightly decreased and that the screen is damaged. Is there a possible way to repair the screen on my own? It isn't unbearable, but it would be better if I fixed it.

it should be possible if you get custom firmware or downgrade
how you can do this is by using a pandora battery and a magic memory stick
you can buy a pandora battery off ebay or whatever for cheap these days and you can use your current memory card as a magic memory stick
all it does is start the psp in a mode where you can reinstall the firmware with whatever firmware you want.
you will have to research into it because i have done it on my psp
im running 5.00 m33-2
but my psp is a 1002 model

alright u dont have custom firmware u can not flash a psp 3000 so just get the chickhen mod it is limited but hey what works works right? anyways just look it up on google or youtube and u should find out how to use it i dont use it but my friend does.

i think its because you do not have a custom firmware?
do you have a custom firmware? or did you upgrade from the PSNetwork? because if you did,thats an Official Firmware, and OFW's dont play isos.

Currently there are no ways to put custom firmware on a psp 3000, you will only brick the psp trying.

You need Custom Firmware on your PSP. This basically allows you to use stuff that does not come fromSONY. To learn how to put Custom Firmware on yourPSP,Googleit. Although the process of putting CF on yourPSPis legal, using copied games and stuff that you would normally have to pay for is not legal, so BEWARE! My psp 3004 does'nt detects any games on my memory card

if you donot have a downgraded cfw psp you cannot play any games from the memory stick and nor will it display to have the custom firmware go to a local game store and ask them to make psp 3004 cfw so you can play games from memory stick and sometimes they will charge some fees but it is worth it because you cannot make a psp 3004 model cfw it is pretty complex

However, if you wish to play BACKUPS
of GAMES you already OWN...

This is how.

You can run a custom firmware enabler (chickHEN &CFWe 3.50) that will load your iso/cso backups on a psp-3004, if itsfirmware is not higher than 5.03.

Aslong as you put your machine on standby you can keep running backups.Once the machine is powered off, you need to re-load the funky tiff's.

I am having PSP 3004 with OFW 5.03,i want to have CFW on it

I will throw my two cents in, although they are from research only, not experience with psp-3004. I am not criticizing ansmoddling, just adding a another solution:

If sounds to me like the consensus is still that psp 3K's cannot load custom firmware permanently yet, but that you can run a custom firmware enabler (chickHEN & CFWe 3.50) that will load your iso/cso backups on a psp-3004, if its firmware is not higher than 5.03. As long as you put your machine on standby you can keep running backups. Once the machine is powered off, you need to re-load the funky tiff's.
