ACER 5810T LAPTOP BATTERY NOT CHARGE IT SHOW THE MESSAGE "PLUGGED IN ,NOT CHARGING"

If your laptop computer runs normally on your acer 5810t charger, but the battery won't charge, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

1) Remove the battery from the system.

2) Look at the connectors in the bay and on the battery for signs of physical damage.

3) Check the battery charge by pressing the status button or image on the battery near the LED's. Note: The lights indicate the current amount of charge on the battery. If all the LED's come on when you press on the butto, the battery is fully charged. If fewer lights are lit, then the battery is partially charged. If any lights flashm or blinkm there could be a problem with the battery.

4) Reinsert the battery; puch until it locks into place and the latch snaps back to the locked position.

Won't start - battery critically low

You should have a light on the notebook indicating that the power supply is plugged in (this should come on with or without the laptop being turned on). My acer has a green light for power, and the battery indicator shows amber for charging and green for full. If you are not seeing the power or charging indicators, you either have a damaged power jack, or a damaged power supply. Power supplies can be purchased usually for fairly cheap online, but if your power jack is damaged, the laptop will have to be serviced by a service center, or by someone who is skilled with a soldering iron and the disassembly and reassembly of laptops.

I have an Acer Aspire One Netbook. Recently I have been having some problems with the power supply and/or adapter. Lately, when I inset the plug to charge it...it isn't showing it's plugged in. I have to...

I had the same problem. It's a short in the charging terminal. Call Acer. You will need to send it in to have the mother board replaced. They replaced mine and it works great now.

Travelmate only powers up with battery inserted. But AC still charges battery. Orange light goes on and of

Sorry to tell you this but you may have a problem with the charging system. That will require you to return it to Acer or an Acer service center. You can also try this. I got this from Acers' travelmate support website:

If the notebook does not power on:

Make sure the ac adapter is correctly plugged into the notebook and into the power cord.

If everything is plugged in correctly and it still will not power on, follow these steps to complete a ‘power reset' of the notebook.
  1. Unplug the ac adapter. Keep ac adapter unplugged.
  2. Remove the battery and keep the battery unplugged.
  3. Hold the power button down for 15-20 seconds. (Nothing will appear on the display and none of the lights will light up.)
  4. Release the power button and plug in the ac adapter ONLY. (Please note that a power indicator light should be lit on the ac adapter when it is plugged in).
  5. Normally power on the notebook.
  6. If the unit does not power on, remove the ac adapter and insert the battery into the system.
  7. Plug the ac adapter back into the system, the battery charging indicator light will light up.
If the battery charging indicator light does not light up, the ac adapter may not be providing proper power to the unit, and may need to be replaced.
You can aslo google your specific model of Travelmate to see if others are having this issue.

Travelmate 2300 won't power on

The problem could be your bezel.  Remove the 3 screws from the hinges from the rear and you will be able to remove the black strip above the keyboard (after removing the screws, make sure laptop is layed wide open)  once removed, press the button on the motherboard under where the power button is.  If the unit still does not power up, then your motherboard is bad and needs to be replaced.  If it does power up, you need to replace the bezel.
