Re: nightvision stopped working when a light was turned...
Unfortunately the old Cyclop is no more. Repairing night vision is very expensive. There are newer better models available for the cost of the repair if it were possible. Yukon make a great monocular the Seawolf. I still have a Cyclop but the Seawolf kills it for view and quality and its waterproof.

Hello, Welcome to ATN Russian image intensifier tube. That right Russian. There is a good possiblity that Russian manufactured the hole binocular with ATN name and logo on it. Typically, this image tube are made to their standards and not to USA standards. There are a lot of countries in this world that manufacture night vision devises and there parts. I know that ATN didn't pay what you paid for this nice looking....yes, that what I said "nice looking" But that about all it is... You can send it back to ATN for repairs but it will new Russian parts to replace old Russian parts.
Now, check IR illuminate to see if it is working. This 1st gen Russian image tube are good up to 80-100 yards. I wish you all the luck. GB...stewbison
The Cyclop-1 is Russian manufactured. Go to Night Vision Optics web page and see if they have manual on this one eyer to down load. As far as parts go, They will not sell you parts. I really doubt if they have parts. What parts are you seeking for this Cyclop? GB...stewbison
Hey, you got you self a Russian NV monocular. There should be two switches. One
switch is to turn on/off the unit. The second switch is used to turn on the IR
illuminate--which means infrared red light. To improve the night capabilities of
the NV monocular.
Ther are two LED's one green for on/off switch and one LED that is red for the IR illuminator.
When the NV monocular isn't been used, take the batteries out. The worst
NO-NO's is looking through monocular during the daylight hours. The do have
metal front lens cover with a small hole in the center for a few minutes of
viewing during the day. Remember---Use Only During the Night---Do look at bright
lights, don't let the kids play with it and make dam sure that Grandfather
doesn't get his hand on it. He will be doing long range peeping at the neighbors
or the lady that leaves here blinds open during the. Kid-No, Grandfathers-N0,
Fathers-that up to them. If pop going some night look see. I'll make a bit his
survival ratio has raised demise by 70%. stewbison
Hello, welcome to the world of Russian night vision devises. About 85% of the problems these NV stuff that is manufactures in the EX-Soviet-Union is the image intensifier tube which is the major component in these devises. It cost prohibitive to have it fixed, especially by Night Owl. They will charge you $100+ plus shipping both ways and parts. Sell it on eBay for NV monocular as parts. or you can throw it a way. Sorry, GB...stewbison
Go to Miltonius, click impossible enpowered items of miltonius, or the sword of miltonius, and accept the quest twisted items of miltonius. Then you get essences of miltonius by defeating Makai. When you get 100 essences go to miltonius and click totems of miltonius quest. Turn in essences for a totem. You need 3 totems to get the crimson plate
Well, there's no telling because Bushnell is not telling. It could be due to it being 'dated' technology and as it is a 1stGen NV they have newer tech. available with other styles. It never got rave revues in the first place. If you can afford it, look at at least 3rdGen NV, even 2ndGen. is good for civilian use. Stay away from the russian junk, almost all of which is 1stGen. But USA if possible and at least you are buying quality which if it needs service, you can get it.
Good luck. :)
