Need correctable ink ribbons for my olivetti praxis 35 typewriter. It was a gift years ago from my grandmother. I can find the correcting spools but not the actual typing cartridges.

SOURCE: Royal Portable typewriter ribbon

Hi, I have a Royal Companion Portable from 1940's. I bought new ribbons at mytypewriter.com (select the "Royal Portable" ribbon). It fits. Anyway if it doesn't it's not an expensive mistake, but I researched this and apparently all vintage Royal Portables have the same standard ribbon. Worked out in my case. Good luck!

The ribbons are available in the USA GENERAL RIBBON #T381 or Nukote B136 L/O G.R. #T376 Instruction book not likely. I hope you can find them a little closer to home.

You have the ribbon on wrong. The ribbon dosen't feed off the spool but take up onto the spool. install the ribbon so that the moving spool is taking up the ribbon.

Loose ribbons, left one doesn't coil the right one's feed

Old Olivettis used a robbon spool that was driven by the turned uver tabs from the ribbon core. Universal replacement ribbons do not have metal cores. If you still have your old spools you can wind the new ribbon on them.

Olivetti Lettera 35. The left ribbon spool spins freely when I type. It tends to get tangled. Is it supposed to spin like that or is there a mechanism that's supposed to limit its movement?

These old Oly's require a special spool with a larger center hole and the metal tabs bent to the inside for feeding and braking if you have installed a universal spool it won't work. If you have the old spools wrap the ribbon on them.

I have an Olivetti Lettera 32. I put a brand new ribbon in it and when I type, the letters are coming up too light on the paper. How do I fix this? What needs to be done?

First thing is to be sure the ribbon is feeding, watch while you type. if not you may have a universal spool ribbon that isn't quite that universal. Wind the ribbon onto your old spools.

We would like to find an ink roller for an olivetti Lettera 35 typewritter

The lettera takes a DIN spool ribbon, very hard to find you may be able to find a universal spool that will work. A General Ribbon T4 or you can wrap a ribbon onto your spools.

Brother ML100 Lift-Off Correction Tape won't lift off

Correction tapes DO have a shelf life, Also make sure the ribbon is moving and very important and this may sound dumb, but I have seen it that the ribbon is not a correction ribon. Are the spool turns orange or yellow? should be. Blue is multistrike and will not correct. Don't know the shelf life of ribbons but they do loose the ability to correct.....Good luck try new supplies..

Ribbon supply

This ribbon fits many different typewriters 25 and 35 are the same. Spool should be the metal type not the plastic, and you need the nuts on the top....
