You need to check the retaining screen at the bottom or back of the unit inside 1'st to make sure there's no paper blocking it,if not remove the screen with a screw driver and check to se that there is no clog in the tube(via finger or small wire)if still nothing (with screen off) try a small plunger w/short handle to loosen blockage then run a cycle with nothing in it.this should do it .hope this helps

Samsung dishwasher wont turn off

Does the washer complete the cycle but remains on? Do you know that it's supposed to turn off? If it is not completing the cycle, it might be due to a failing water inlet valve, a failing heater, or something similar.

Doesn't drain proerly

It depends on which modle dishwasher you have got. If a lot of water remains and the cycle is not completed then the drain pump could be faulty. Otherwise it could be a blockage either in the hose or the kitchen drain.

The soap packet doesn't dissolve, it remains intact at the bottom of the machine at the end of the cycle.

don,t use those packets stay with powder or liquid dishwasher soap. the packets need a lot of heat to dissolve,.
