Question about Motorola Talkabout T5100 (14 Channels) 2-Way Radio

One of the radios will not go on even with new batteries...how do i fix it? Thanks This is in reference to motorola talkabout T5100

When you say it will not go on, if you are getting no display, sound or light illuminating, you have a defective radio. (Other than if the batteries are installed backwards.)

If you are getting a display and other functions it could be your radio is no longer programmed the same as your others. One walkie talkies volume is very low

Setting and Transmitting Call Tones
Your radio can transmit different call tones to other radios in your group so you can alert them that you want to talk.
To set a call tone:
1. With the radio on, press MENU 3 times. The current call tone setting flashes and displays.
2. Press + or - to change and hear the call tone.
3. Press MENU or PTT to set the new call tone or turn feature off.

Hi,

In most Motorola T5XXX series/models, pressing the + button while powering on enables/disables the roger beep (release of PTT button).
