Scanner won't operate on HP PSC1410 All in one with Leopard

Since I upgraded to MAC Leopard I can't get the scanner to work on my HP PSC1410 ALL IN ONE Printer, Scanner, Copier

    i just got a used HP PSC 1410 from a friend everything is working except the scanner..Well it will scan and copy but I can't get it to scan to the pc. Whern i press the scan button the power light flashes. I had yo download from the net to install because she didn't have the disc. I have looked up all the info on the printer and still can not figure out how to scan a pic onto my pc.

I had the same exact problem and found this solution in a Mac forum. Download this set of drivers HP Photosmart, PSC and Officejet Full Feature Software/Drivers - Mac OS X v10.3 and v10.4 (Universal). My PSC works fine now.

The HP CD and web download were created before Mac OS X v10.5 development and release so there may be problems with the install process. They are yet to release new package to suit check here for details and updates

Also check this info on mac 10.5 with this printer.

Hi, as per HP's support page on this product here

It seems that there aren't any drivers compatible with Leopard for this printer at the moment. The latest OS supported is Mac OS X Tiger... You will have to wait untill HP do something for leopard...

Photosmart HP all in one 2575 printer . Since upgrading to Mac snow leopard the scanner will not work whilst the printer is fine and the scanner works just scanning on printer.
go online to hp to fine a driver that will let u use the printer with Mac.

My new operating system doesn't recognize my scanner any longer but does do fine with the printer which are both the same machine. How do I fix that? I moved from Mac OX leopard to Mac OX snow leopard....

Shortly after the world started upgrading to Snow Leopard, reports began emerging that many Hewlett-Packard printers were incompatible with the upgrade. So, you can wait till you get the updated driver which is compatible with Mac Snow leopard.

Lexmark X2650 scanner in Mac OSX 10.6.2 (Snow Leopard)
You need to update your driver by getting the latest software in the Lexmark website here. During software update what usually gets updated are the basic functionalities. In this case it looks like the scanner is not being updated as well. Hope this helps.

HP Scanjet 4470c compatible with Mac OS X 10.6.1
You will not find drivers for this old scanner. Sorry but this scanner is not compatible with Tiger, Leopard, or Snow Leopard, and HP offers no drivers other than for OSx 8.0 & 9.0 which are 10 years old. Time to purchase a new scanner.

Hp psc 2410 photosmart all-in-one...cannot make scanner work
I have the same PSC 2410 and contacted HP the print software is included in Leopard 10.5 but the scan is not. They have "no" plans on producing software and went as far as to recommend  third party scanner software to make it work.

yes by using windows gallery.open the windows gallery then click file - click import scanner - then select your printer model.scan it

HP ScanJet 7650 asking for DPE
This problem happened to me to (OfficeJet 6310xi). These steps solved my problem:

When the program has the error, there's a button so you can show it where DPE is. Click the button
Navigate to Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Hewlett-Packard/HP Scan Pro/DPE/
Click on DPE 11.6.app

Then I could scan to pdf. When I upgraded to Leopard, I reinstalled my HP software, even though HP says it isn't totally compatible with leopard.
