Question about Kenmore Ovens
The burner on my Kenmore oven has started to cycle on and off. The burner comes on for about 30 seconds and then turns off for 30 seconds.
Of course this means the temperature does not get up to preheat very fast. In fact, it did not get to 400 degrees at all today.
The range works fine but I have not tried the broiler yet. It seems to be localized to the oven though.
Thanks for any help!

This oven has only one gas valve, that supplys the top burners that i never had a problem with.
The bottom oven burner with it's own ignitor, and the top broiler with it's own ignitor. so i can't see replacing both ignitors.Don't think both ignitor could stop working at the same time then work the next time we use the oven/broiler again with their own ignitor. I'll ohm out the temp sensor. but I never saw one work most of the time then stop working. And then start working again. any other pointers.

your looking for part number 67 on that part breakdown
it is the bake element and if you inspect it im sure you will find it cooked or broken
befor you actually order the part take the unit out
and inspect your wire connections to both sides of the element

SOURCE: My gas oven (Frigidaire Gallery)
Most probable cause is a weak bake burner ignitor,if you can remove the floor of the oven and see a orange glow but within one minute thier is no flame the ignitor that glows is weak and needs to be replaced,if no glow at all ,if your capable find the 2 wires to the bake ignitor, using a volt meter set to AC volts there should be 120vac to the ignitor. If their is 120 vac and absolutly no glow the ignitor is cracked and needs to be replaced,if their is not 120 vac it could be the gas safety valve or control
