It might be dead, but...

Here is the basic troubleshooting for the Cuisinart coffee makers:
Make sure all baskets are in proper place - especially if unit is beeping.
Do not use a paper and a gold-tone or other permanent filter at the same time.
Unplug for LONGER THAN 15 full minutes to reset.
Clean by brewing 2 oz of distilled white vinegar/2 oz water.
If these methods fail, the unit probably requires replacement - call Cuisinart as they have a longer-than-standard warranty.

Unplug for longer than 15 minutes to reset. This one is slightly out of warranty - by about 4 months.

SOURCE: I have a cuisinart coffee maker. I can set the

Unplug the coffeemaker for 20 minutes or longer - not a second less - in order to fully reset it. Then, when you plug it back in, turn the function dial to Clock again. Press and hold the HR button for a few seconds, and then set the hours. It should work now unless it got zapped, as you said.

Good luck!

SOURCE: A couple of days ago, coffee maker turned it self

spoke w/ Cuisinart. Unplug unit for 1 hr, then plug back in, reset clock & Auto Off setting. This resets the unit back to the factory settings.

Most likely the cycle thermostat that turns off the heating element has failed. It is supposed to reset after the it senses the water temp below 130 deg. If it did not reset or has failed it will not turn on the heating element but the clock will work fine.

By the time you ship the unit to a repair center with parts and labor and get it returned to you the cost would be as much as a new unit.

Sounds like there is no power to the unit. Are you 100% sure the receptacle it is plugged into is working? If it is in a kitchen it may very well be plugged into a receptacle that is protected by a GFIC. Look and make sure one has not tripped. If you find out that the receptacle is good and power is reaching the unit, then it may have an internal fuse. It is highly unlikely the heating element and clock went bad at the same time.

The program light won't stop blinking

Same here. I'm dead in the water. This started happening a few weeks ago and with patience and luck and different combos of buttons I'd get it to stop and I was able to brew. Today it just stopped completely. The program light either blinks constantly or stays lit constantly, but I cannot brew coffee. I see lots of people online with this problem, but have yet to see a solution.
