Bend a coat hanger to a small hook shape so it fits where cap was and pull line out and pull off filter. Its normally a filter in the carb that plugs not the tank one. there is a very fine screen in some of the carbs that may look clean but isn't.

Replace fuel lines on model no. 358.797931

Hi.
Before you remove any fuel lines, make a drawing or take a picture of how the lines are connected to the tank for later reference.
You will need to remove all the old fuel lines and fuel filter out of the gas tank.
Clean and remove all trash, broken lines, etc. from the fuel tank.
After you have all the trash, fuel lines and filter removed.
You will trim the end that goes into the fuel tank to a point. You will lubricate about 1 inch of fuel line with a small amount of vasoline or light machine oil...
Now using your fingers or small needle nose pliers push the fuel line and insert it into the hole in the fuel tank.
After you have the fuel line in the tank, extend enough fuel line into the tank to exit the fill spout of the tank .
You will insert the new or cleaned fuel filter into the line and pull the fuel line to pull the filter just back into the tank.
Hook up the fuel lines to the carburator and you should be good to go

Replace fuel line in husqvarna 141 chain saw

The fuel line on the 141 is very small and wasn't really meant to be replaced for some reason, as it is a pinch fit. Buy the smallest fuel line you can, usually 1/8th OD inch fuel line. Remove the air-filter and the carburetor. You will need to drill out the
current hole a little bit, so go slowly. As soon as the new fuel line will fit _tightly_ insert the line. You will have to remove the hand-bar and the
anti-vibration bolts to separate the motor mount portion from the gas tank which is part of the hand grip.

Apply some gasoline proof gasket sealant to the space between the gap, else you will have a gas leak from the tank sooner or later.

Reassemble the grip and motor sections back together and let the sealant dry for a day or so. Put the carb and air filter back on and attach the fuel line to the carb and the other end to the fuel filter in the gas tank.

Have 2 gas lines dangling in gas tank, mcculloch 42c, 36cc, older, one line has filer other for primer????? or did it come disconnected

Hi perfecthelme...
Those are broken fuel lines your are seeing and a fuel filter inside of the tank
*******************************************************************************************
I will include a fuel routing drawing.
Before you remove any fuel lines, make a drawing or take a picture of how the lines are connected to the tank for later reference.
You will need to remove all the old fuel lines and fuel filter out of the gas tank.
Clean and remove all trash, broken pieces of fuel line, etc. from the fuel tank.
After you have all the fuel lines and filter removed.
You need a piece of wire...smaller diameter than the inside of the fuel line, insert the wire into the fuel line until it exits the fuel line then bend a hook on the end of the wire to hook over the fuel line.
You will lubricate about 1 inch of fuel line with a small amount of vasoline or light machine oil...
Now using your fingers or small needle nose pliers collapse the fuel line around the wire hook and insert it into the hole in the fuel tank.
After you have the fuel line in the tank, extend enough fuel line into the tank to exit the fill spout of the tank and remove the wire from the fuel line.
You will insert the new or cleaned fuel filter into the line and pull the fuel line to pull the filter just back into the tank.

Polan pro bvm200vs711923 will not start. Has compression. sparkplug is new and shows spark. Seems to have fuel. Note: The fuel line in in the tank for the primer bulb is not present, nothing beyond...

Looks like it's the fuel filter in the tank, the filter will be in the tank at the end of the line.

get a stiff wire, make a hook at the end and fish for the fuel line that has the fuel filter.

you will have two fuel lines in the tank one has a fuel filter, that's the one you want,

once you remove the fuel filter, submerge the fuel line in the gas, and primer the bulb

if the bulb gets full of fuel, theirs your problem, sometimes the filter can be cleaned

with an air compressor, but sometimes its so dirty that it,s better replaced to prevent

further problems. good luck!

Need to replace all gas lines

  1. Empty the fuel tank on the chainsaw of any remaining fuel. Pull the cap from the tank and turn the unit upside down. Drain the fuel into an approved fuel container. If the fuel is old (more than about a year) dispose of it according to local regulations for hazardous materials. (It can be kept longer by adding a fuel stabilizer.)
  2. Pull the fuel line where it attaches to the carburetor using the end of the needle-nose pliers. The old fuel line may take some force to pull free from the metal tube.
  3. Push on the fuel line to feed it into the fuel tank. Hold the chain saw upside down. Shake the unit to get the fuel filter into the opening of the tank. Pull the filter free of the tank. Feed the remaining fuel line through the access hole at the bottom of the tank. Dispose of the filter and old fuel line in accordance with disposal regulations.
  4. Feed one end of the new fuel line into and through the bottom access hole of the fuel tank. Push approximately 6 to 8 inches into the tank. You can pull back any excess line later. Grab the end of the plastic line with the needle-nose pliers. Bring the line through the gas tank fill opening.
  5. Attach the new filter to the end of the new fuel line. Feed the filter back into the fuel tank. Pull any excess line from the tank. You will want approximately 3 to 4 inches of fuel line inside the tank.
  6. Route the new fuel line to the carburetor. Cut the line to length with the cutters on the needle-nose pliers. Attach the line to the metal tube.
  7. Fill the fuel tank with fresh gas-oil fuel for 2-stroke engines and start the chainsaw. It may take a few pulls to prime the new line with fuel.
  8. Some models come with a priming bulb. Make sure you press the priming bulb three to four times before trying to start. This will prime the gas lines and remove any excess air trapped in the lines.

Fuel cuts out under load, primer button slow on release,

Clean or replace fuel filter.
Filter is located in the gas tank, on the end of a small rubber fuel line.
Use a large wire, with a hook(1/8 in. radius inside)on the end, to pull the filter far enough out of the
tank to remove the filter assembly.
May be difficult to re-install filter assembly because fuel line is short (it will stretch 10 to 20 % of it's
length).

Have a weedeater gt1 15 trimmer how do u get the gas tank apart to repair the gas tubing

You will not need to remove the gas tank or take the gas tank apart. Follow these instructions:
1. Disconnect the fuel line from the carburetor. You may need to cut the line pull it off.
2. Push the fuel line back through the gas tank. At the end of the fuel line is the fuel filter/weight that should be moving around within the gas tank.
3. You should be able to pull the filter/weight out of the fuel tank through the neck using a needle nose pliers. Insure the fuel filter is cleaned out before you re-assemble.

Note: The fuel line that you use as a replacement must be the same diameter of the fuel line you are removing. If you cannot find the fuel line at your local mower shop, try Lowes Hardware as they do stock it in the lawnmower section.

To reassemble: Take about 7 inches of correct fuel line and cut a 45 degree angle cut at one end. That end is threaded back through the tank through the small hole. Push as far as you can and then reach in and pull it to the neck. Cut the straight, attach the filter/weight and pull the line back through.

Gas line replacement for ryobi trimmer

Noticed on my last trip to Home Depot, that they had replacement fuel line kits for Ryobi trimmers with instructions on how to do it.....if you don't have a Home Depot handy, take your machine to any mower shop or mower parts house and they have bulk tubing you can buy...match the size of the line and get about 14in of line...next remove the fuel cap and dump any fuel in the tank...look inside and find the tube with the small filter attached to the end....remove the fuel line from the fitting on the carburetor and with a twisting motion push the fuel line into the tank from the outside...when you get enough slack in the line grasp the filter end of the line with long needle nosed pliers or a hemostat through the tank fill hole and gently pull on the line...it should slide right out....now take your new line and with a razor blade or sharp knife cut about a 1inch angled taper on the end of the new line...put a little oil on the new line and feed the tapered end from the outside of the tank through the hole in the tank, pushing and turning it a little as you insert it. as with the removal procedure when you get enough line inside the tank grasp with your pliers and pull the line through....cut off the tapered end and re install the fuel filter ( now would be a good time to replace it with a new one, they're cheap and prevent problems down the road)... pull the fuel line back toward the carburetor until the filter lies on the bottom of the tank... about 7in inside the tank and 5 in on the outside is about right take the carburetor end of the line and cut it to fit making sure you don't have any sharp bends in the line and re- attach it to the carb fitting.... that should do it...you can replace the fuel return line the same way !!! hope this helps.... ;-D
