Daewoo DVDS130 player says 'No Disc' after it has already loaded
I have a Daewoo DVDS130 player that I've had for a couple of years. Several days ago I was finished watching a DVD and accidentally hit the Play button on its' remote instead of Enter (I think this was the scenario) and ever since it now says 'No Disc' after I insert a disc and after it says 'Loading'. Tonite it did start to play another disc, but when I hit the 'Play' option on the screen's table of contents, it didn't do anything. I have tried unplugging it, changing discs, etc., but nothing helps. Thank you.

The drive is not reading the disk. This is either caused by a fault in the laser/lens/drive itself or caused by dirt in the drive effecting the lens.
There is a Laser cleaning DVD that you can purchase from any audio shop - its not expensive and useful to have around anyway. I would recommend you try one of these and you may find that it will resolve the problem as a simple and quick fix.
Hope this helps. Please remember to rate my answer. Many Thanks.

see this causes and fix it. God bless you If your mini DVD player reads "No Disc" after you've loaded the disc, it
means the machine isn't reading the DVD. Take the DVD out again and
clean it. It's quite possible that the disc is simply dirty and cleaning
it will solve the problem immediately. However if the problem persist test the following:
Bad connections to one or more buttons or sets of buttons.
this could be a couple off things wrong here.
1,could be a faulty dvd player.
2,could do with having a lens cleaning disc put through it.
3,could be a faulty lens reader.
if i was you before i do anything big to it i would run a lens cleaning disc through it and see if it cleans the lens that reads the discs.
if this does not work i would take it back,or get someone to have a look at it for you.
First make sure that the disc is not the problem and trigger the symptoms. If you've already confirmed that the fault came from the player itself, you must clean the optical lens from fine dirt(dust) and static electricity build-up by playing DVD lens cleaner to the unit. Dirty optical lens will affect the performance of it. DVD lens cleaner kit is widely available at the market and usually cure most kind of symptoms like this.

Hope I helped you.

Thanks for using Fixya.
Basically you have two options, as there are many things that can malfunction or become damaged. Rendering it usually un fixable...
Cheap solution Buy a laser cleaning disc, extremely cheap sold almost anywhere that says electronics. Use the disc in the DVD player.
Expensive Buy a new one unfortunately, as the repair cost would run you as much as a new DVD player.
Sorry for your misfortune, and don't feel bad I bought a very nice one and it crapped out on me in less than 6 months. Bought a very cheap one and its lasted me the last 2 years and still going strong.
Okay, so I had this problem a few days ago and started watching movies on my X-box 360. Then my X-Box came up with the same error as my DVD player. After reading countless reviews and e-mailing Samsung, I read somewhere that someone had pummeled their X-Box until it adjusted the laser back.
So, I pummeled my DVD and X-Box into oblivion and oddly enough both of them are working. Don't go crazy smacking it but give it some sturdy hits right above the CD tray as you are putting CD's in and opening the tray. Worked for me and hope it helps...
Have you tryed to use a lens cleaning disc yet. The laser lens on these players and recorders alike, must have the lens cleaned every oince in awhile. If that does not help, most likly you have a bad laser pickup assembly and you will need to replace the plaer as to have that repaiered, you could buy a new unit. Good Luck
