It is fairly easy to replace the cord, you will have to open the case. Follow the wire to the Control board. Cut the cord close to the control board, but leaving room to work with, at the wire ends, (leave 3in or so to work with) or undo any screws, match your new cord to the old by striping back the main insulation, checking the colors of the wires, match the wires color for color. Get some wire nuts from H-depot or Lowe. Twist the wires together, screw on the nut put back together pulg it up.

Blower motor doesnt work

Is it getting power? Blown Fuse, Bad Switch, Bad Wiring/connections. Check the DC voltage, sometimes the fuse looks good but isn't. Even a cheap voltmeter from ie Northern Tool will do the job.

Front heater blower low speeds dont work

if you have just high speed, you need to change resister, usually in plenum case to keep it cool. If it goes again, change motor, it is drawing too much current

A-c switch on my 2005 colorado only works on high speed

I had the same problem on my 2005 Colorado. I changed the blower resistor but still had the same problem. I had no voltage at the blower except on high. After talking with the local Chevy dealer, I found the plug-in connector that goes to the resistor had a burnt place on one of the terminals. AC offers a kit that you can splice into your existing wiring. Took me around 30 minutes to change. Costs around $50. So be sure to check the plug before changing anything out.
