Wow...I really did not think I would receive a response.
Ok..yes the outside unit is working. Inside fan is blowing. The line feels warm.
I have a honeywell beutler. Right now i have the fan on auto and turn the temp to 68 then run program but it keeps jumping back up to 78..thoughts

Can you tell me if the outside unit is working? The fan is obvious but the compressor is a little tricky to hear it running. So feel the copper line outside and tell me if it feels cold to the touch. And also is the inside fan blowing?

If you think something is wrong with the air conditioner, you take it back to the store. No a new air conditioner should not vibrate violently. They are pretty quite, so take it back to the store, and exchange it for another one.

Air Conditioner blows air, but does not cool

Go to the outside unit and see if the compressor is running. It may be hard to hear. If you need to you can disconnect one fan lead so you can hear the compressor. If it isn't running then check the capacitor. If it is running then get the refrigerant charge checked. Also check air filter(s) and make sure the coils are clean.

Why doesnt it put out cool air

First thing to try is to remove the unit from the window. Carry it out and remove the unit from its case. This will require removing quite a few screws. the unit will slide out of the front of the case. wash all of the fin coils with your garden house. Make sure the filter is clean and reinstall. Most of the time problems are due to poor air flow at the evaporator or condenser coils. If this does not solve the problem there are several other things that could be wrong. Let me know if this works.

AC unit outside blowing out cold air, vents

Sounds like compressor not running. may be a bad capacitor, could also be low on freon.

Tempstar High efficiency 5000 It is not blowing enough cold air

if the unit has cooled fine in the past then it is most likely dirty you need to look at the return side of coil, you may be able to look thur your return grill.if it is dirty it is best to call a a/c service company to clean it for you, what ever you do,Do Not clean with a brush it can damage the coil and cost a lot to replace.also check your suction line at outside unit,it the big line it should be sweating if not it can be low of freon. Average cost to pull and clean a coil is about 375.00 no more then that.

03 Eclpise GT with air conditioner problems

there is a sun load and ambient temperature sensor that needs to be looked at.
there is a switch system connected so that under full throttle, the a/c is disabled to give more power.there is maybe something wrong with the override.
i would check the a/c relay as in the daytime, when hot it seems to fail.get a can of cold spray, and when the car is hot and not working, spray the relay.the cold spray can be bought at an electronics parts wholesale supplier.the temperature of the spray is -60F and it is great for finding thermal problems.
cheers ,ed

vulcan bonaire comfort control External natural gas electronic ignition 2004. ISSUE: Fan blowing only cool air continuously. Forced to kill power to stop it. model is one of the following. MB514E,20E or 30E. Going by mech drawing parts list. i can confirm what type of sensors i have cleaned with very fine sandpaper. flame sensor PN 5441603SP and IGNITER ELECTRODE PN 5441602SP The fault code i see is described as the following. There are x4 LED's. Sequence Left to Right. LEGEND: 1 Flame Sensor 2 Pressure switch 3 OverTemp 4 Diag. R Red G Green S Solid Colour B Blinking LED Behaviour. In order 2RS & 4GS Until i hear ignition. 2RS & 3RB Duration: split second 2RB,3RS & 4GB Duration: split second 3RS & 4GB Duration: Until it has completed blinking x4 times. 3RS Duration 4 seconds Repeat last two mentioned behaviour. in my own opinion, as a safety feature, the unit thinks that it has overheated or is about to. so kills the gas and force feeding cool air to heating components to save it from frying. Does this mean i have fault 04 if so does this mean i may have a faulty igniter or flame sensor or maybe a faulty as described in the mech drawing SWITCH OVER TEMPERATURE 120 degrees celsius. Am i correct here? Is this the over temperature cut out switch? if no one can really pinpoint which part requires replacement, can you at least, in sequence advise which parts to purchase? so then ill just try my luck. i wonder how to properly test if flame sensor, igniter, over temp etc is faulty with a multimeter. do i just perform a continuity test. I wonder what other parts can i test related to this fault im getting.
