Toshiba TV you when I turn it on it runs for 10 minutes then it shuts itself off light blinks three times pause three more blanks then it turns itself back on runs for minute then repeat

This tv have a power supply board is the causes and the problems.Ur tv power supply board finally gave out and not supply the right voltages to the tv system anymore.That the board,where the tv power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Sounds like a bad color wheel. Getting ready to replace my own. The bad problem here is finding a new color wheel as many are "no longer available".

BLINKING RED LIGHT IS ERROR CODE.

1. Unplug set for a few minutes.

2. Plug back in and turn on.

3. When red power light starts blinking--COUNT THE BLINKS.

4. THREE BLINKS, pause, THREE BLINKS (ETC) IS SHORT PROTECTION AND A DO IT YOURSELF repair for some people. I have complete instructions for this repair.

5. 5 blinks, pause and 5 blinks etc is short on 140 volt line and while not as easy as 3 blink error code it points to places to look at.

If tv shuts off and turns back On itself than lamp is weak and need to be replaced.
If tv shuts off but does not turns On itself than you will see red light blinking on tv front, let me know how many times it blinks, there would be pause of 3 seconds in blinks so count pause to pause and post here to provide you helpful info about problem.

If the Lamp red light is blinking then replace lamp, replacement procedure is written in user manual and its easy.
If standby/ power red light is blinking then please count its blinking and post here. It is an error code that has info about problem in specific section of tv.
You will see 3 seconds long pause between blinks so count pause to pause.

If the front power light is blinking three times then your TV has a problem with the convergence. You can get the correct replacement parts and full step by step photo instructions from www.TvRepairKits.com

This model should have a self diagnostic feature:

Turn set on and when power light goes out----Press and hold on the front of the set both the MENU and INPUT buttons for 5 seconds and release both.

Power light should blink a two digit error code---most common is 2 blinks, a pause and 2 blinks--set will repeat the code about 10 times.

The 7 blinks indicates that a failure has happened within the Y main and the upper and lower y drive panels. I recommend you taking it in to a Service center for and evaluation.

Code 22 indicates that your set is in shut down due to what is called Short Protect. The most likely cause is the Converge Ic's drawing too much current and opening one or 2 fuses. Normal repair cost varies by area and servicer. Expect 250 to 350 plus the service call. I normally do this on site.
