SOURCE: HP 3210 black ink problem

I just posted my problem and found the solution on a different web page. It is this and it WORKS
All you have to do is HOLD DOWN FOUR BUTTONS AT THE SAME TIME: ( OK, Cancel, Black , Color ) and turn the power off. Do this at least twice and the unit will power up and go to maintenance. Then it was back to normal.
HP gives you a procedure that doesn't work! They just want to sell you a new one. They must know the solution if and old woman like me can figure it out with help from other people with the same problem

Hi there
This is only some thing you can try it may work.
Solution 1:

1. Press and hold "left arrow" key
2. Press the "setup" key and release both keys
3. Press and release the "OK" button
4. Press and release the right arrow button until the display says “System Configuration Menu”. 2. Press and release the “OK” button.
5. Display should say “Hardware failure status”. If not there already, Arrow Key over to “Hardware failure status”,
6. Press and release the “OK” button.
7. Display should say “Hardware failure status: Clear. Press OK to clear”.
8. Press and release the “OK” Button. Message changes to “Hardware failure status Cleared. Press Cancel to continue”.
9. Press and release the “CANCEL” button as many times as necessary, so that, either the “Welcome to Photosmart Express” screen appears, or, the “Ink System Failure” screen appears. PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO PRINT AT THIS STAGE.
10. Using the Power Button, turn the unit OFF and unplug the power cable from back of the printer and wall outlet.
11. Wait 30 seconds for the power to get discharged and then plug the power cable into the wall outlet first and then into the back of the printer
12. Turn the unit on. The printer may display message “USE POWER BUTTON TO SHUTDOWN THE PRINTER” followed by “PRESS OK TO CONTINUE”. Press OK.
13. If the printer has already initialized, then go to the next step. If not, the printer will start the “ONE TIME INK INITIALIZATION PROCESS”. Allow this process to complete and do not interrupt. Once the initialization process is complete, the printer will print out a Diagnostic Page.
14. To verify printer functionality print a SELF TEST PAGE. If SELF TEST prints, then printer is ready for use or Software Installation.

Hp 3210 is leaking ink

Remove the black ink cartridge and put a piece of tape on it to prevent it from leaking all over your clothes. Find the receipt for the cartridge and return it to where you purchased it from. More then likely your going to have to clean out your entire printer to get rid of the ink that has leaked into it. You have a faulty ink cartridge. Hopefully you purchased a name brand cartridge and can return it. If you need assistance with instructions on how to clean out your printer, please advise.

My HP photosmart 3210 skips lines on the black ink only. The other colors print fine.

(The obvious) Replace the black cartridge. Even if ot says you have ink you could have a faulty cartridge, even if it has worked fine in the past. (The not so obvious) Clean your printheads/nozzles. Repeat the process a few times.

I have a hp photosmart 3210 all-in-one and it keeps printing the same thing over and over as soon as you turn it on

It can happen due to different causes:
If the cartridges are new, the automatic alignment process is not complete, for that:
1.Turn off the printer and turn it on again
2.Let the printer print the allignment page
3.After printing the alignment page, disconnect the USB cable which is connected behind the printer
4.Place the allignment sheet inside the scanner glass and press the scan button on the printer
The alignment is complete when the printed page is scanned
Turn off the printer and turn it on again, it should be fixed

The other possible causes might be:
The cartridges are not correctly installed or one of the cartridges is defective.
In that case reinstall the cartridges after cleaning them with lint free soft cloth.

If that does not work, then at least one of the cartridges need to be replaced

I have a HP 3210 All-in-one printer that I am having problems with. Whenever I print a picture or anything is certain colors I get stripes. It works fine in black and white. I have replaced all of the ink...

the nozzles are clogged most likely. try to clean it by using the software provided. another thing is try to align the print heads. that's also included in the software for the printer.

HP Photosmart 3210xi - some colors (magentas) will not print

Remove the magenta cartridge, and try cleaning the head with alcohol, maybe with a small paint brush or an acid brush. It sounds like ink has dried and plugged up that head.

HP Photosmart 3210

Try reinstalling your display drivers. you'll be surprised how dependent printers are on display drivers. Try changing the font as well.

Do you get any error messages once you click the print button? is it sending to the correct printer?
