How to do up the leather watch band?

I purchased a Techno Master Watch "With A Leatherband" over the Net from the us and i live in Australia. It has no instructions, but worst of all I cant even work out for the life of me how to the second second steel clip on the actual watchband works. If you have one you will know what i'm talking about? I cant get the Leather Stap to go through the clasp thing because it seems blocked by the unmovable prong that goes in the hole to tighten the watch? D'oh! Please help
