Attaching camera to tripod

I have a Vivitar V99 tripod that I'd like to attach to my Canon PowerShot A630 camera. Theres a hole for the screw at the bottom of the camera, but no place or part to attach it to the tripod. The tripod just has this 3/8" deep depression, rectangular shape, about 1 1/4" square, and there's a spring-loaded lever at the edge of this hole. Obviously there's a part that will join the two together. What is it? Can I get it? (I live near Orlando).

You need to find the "quick release plate" for that tripod

There is a list to select from you'll find it and it will cost $15.99

How can i attach my canon 600D to a optex T-4151 tripod ?

Yes, your 600d has 1/4 threads at the bottom wich is ideal for tripod mounts, take the tripod head off the tripod, and line up the 1/4 tripod head and camera and screw in the tripod head into the camera (bottom), if any questions contact me thanks 4_15_2014_1_41_51_am.png

I need a one bolt and screw for my Vivitar model #1100 tripod. How do I get it ? It attaches any one leg to the body of the tripod.

That means the other two legs are connected with the very hardware you're looking for. Why not remove them and take a trip to the hardware store for a match?

I take a lot of close ups of products for my job. They are consistently blurry. Is there a camera problem, or perhaps this camera isn't made for close-ups. Help! I am using the A630.

You need to be in "macro" mode for close-ups and a tripod wouldn't hurt either. Check your manual for the procedure to set up macro mode. It's usually a button with the icon of a flower on it.

I'm trying to attach a Canon EOS Rebel XS to a Manfrotto 190XPROB tripod, but the tripod socket on the camera is too small. How do I attach them?

You need a head. The tripod has a standardized screw for accepting a tripod head, which is a larger screw than for the tripod mount on the camera. There are a variety of heads available, ball heads, three-axis heads, geared heads, pan-and-tilt heads, and more.

Here's a page showing Manfrotto heads:

How do I attach the camera to the tripod?

Check the back of the camera to check if there is a hole with thread.
The top part of the tripod usually comes out. Screw the top part of the tripod to the camera and after that attach it back to the tripod.
If you need further assistance, just leave a comment. Cheers
