Before you test you connection see what the percentage of the connection is, if it's less then %50 it won't work with wireless unless you move it into a place with a better connection

It stopped connecting to wireless!

Myra, The PS3 internal antenna when connected to the board, is only a thin protected wire, so it is not the greatest system for range for wifi. However, it would seem the issue you are having is not connecting to the wireless router, but the router to the internet. The PS3 asks after you enter a new connection, if you want to test it. I always do this test and it is valuable. At the top of the test screen, you will see "connection to router"-Pass/fail, then connecting to internet-Pass/fail, then connecting to PSN-pass/fail. Do you have other devices connected to the router you are using? If yes, then you have a more serious problem. If no, then you just have to access the router via PC and set up the correct settings to allow your PS3 to connect to the internet. There are several different routers out there, so you will have to consult the manufacturer to set it up. Just a few key notes here. If you are ok with anyone accessing your internet, simply don't password protect it. And also, make sure that the router is transmitting by making sure it is in"air"mode. If it's not airing the SSID, then no device will pick it up. ^^ I hope this helps, and good luck.

Router connection loss

Your router might have been reset and now the settings on your devices does not match that of the router. If you have wireless security enabled on your router make sure your devices are set up to match those settings.

Error 51330 on nintendo wii siemens gigaset se587 wlan used.

hi

i have just solved this problem on the SE 587, hope it works for you.

1) in internet explorer type 192.168.1.1, which should bring up your router settings - then select "wireless" and then "basic wireless settings" - under "auto channel" set it to "disable" and the set "wireless channel" to "1" , then "save settings" - my pc briefly went offline and quickly came back.

2) when setting up the connection on the wii you need the code from the bottom of the router - make sure you have "caps lock" ON on the wii when you set up.

3) now everything works perfectly on the wii - you dont even need the pc on! just the router.

good luck, IAN.

Cannot connect to nintendo wii

Hello ab1975, What i would suggest is either using the suggested routers which are suggested for the reason of they are know to connect with little error. Other routers conduct themselfs differently and cause errors. What you might try is updating your router and drivers on your computer. This should update your router to the best know configuration and allow the smoothest opperations.  If this doesn't answer your problem please post again.
Please post what you do and how you did it. I look forward to your posts.

Hi...unable to connect to ps3 using siemans gigaset se587 wireless router

hi there,
first you need to make sure u can access your wireless router with no problems and the wireless is turned on for your ps-3...then u need to forward some ports...

Turn on PS3 and goto Settings, Network Settings.
Select Internet Connections. If it asks you want to be disconnected select Yes. Select EASY. Select wireless

Select SCAN this will take a few minutes. The PS3 should find your router and already have the SSID# so just type in your WEP key. Select save and then wait a couple of minutes then select test. It should hook up.

If it hooks up with NAT3 then you will have to enable UPnP on you router. type in http://192.168.1.1 on your computers web browser.

username: admin
password: admin

Click on the advanced tab and then on Universal plug n play and then make sure both check boxes are marked.

Then on the PS3 make sure the UPnP is enabled also in the network settings.

This should give you network and NAT2.
