Ok Mr. Local Wonder, my name is rebeccaqual and i got a repair diagnostic from you and you said it was the timer control modular, i had an appliance man put the part in and that did not fix the problem. Someone eles said it could be the door swicth however it is a front load washer so the door switch is working properly to. So what do u think it might be. I have had the control board that is in the dryer cabinet thats for the washer replaced last year. ( Do you no why they put the washer control board in the dryer cabinet? doesn't make since)any way the part u said did not fix the problem whats up with that ? what eles could it be?

Hi, It's a MLE2000AYW a Maytag Neptune Satackable Front Loader. It starts filling with water and then stops. It wont agitate or spin. So I guess it doesn't advance to the next cycle after filling with water. Sometimes it doesn't fill all the way with water before it stops. Thank You Rebeccaqual

Hi Rebecca,
The control assembly is usually replaced only after testing everything else that can concern the problem.
for example if machine does not fill, and cycle do not start , you have tested the following parts before:
Inlet hose.
Lid switch.
Water level switch (read volts, jump it to test)
Inlet valve (test continuity, read volts and energise)
If all the rest is fine read voltages out from timer board.
This is what a tech should do in this case.
Depending on the fault there can be different procedures to troubleshoot and fix the problem.
Please tell again what the problem was , telling if you get fault codes , if cycle starts etc. Also tell me what is the model of the machine. Possibly providing model number as printed on service tag.
Regards
Ginko

    Hi Rebecca.

Parts that can cause the machine to stop filling and cycle not advancing are the pressure switchPS2021271.

Pressure switch is part 24 on diagram below:

    Or the pump (PS2020805)

not switching to recirculate because of a bad wiring harness , or because pump is faulty.

Wiring harness is tested reading volts.

    Pump is tested by energizing.

The tests must be done by a repairman.

    Regards.

GLTF2940FS2 Ok no timer switch on this model. The spin cycle will not engage. The drain has been cleaned the pump is ok , wash cycle ok , drain ok , when spin time comes nothing. Test rutine , on...

Check with your appliance parts repair people in your area.
You should find no one will touch the electronic control panel. Usually, the time it takes and the cost for diagnostics will negate any profit for the business.
Same as why many cars must go back to the dealer for electronics. Most of your local repair people will just replace the board.
God bless your efforts.
