Washer is new and will not dispense neither bleach nor softener.

Frustration beyond belief. It looks like a simple mechanism.

Thanks,

Same Problem

-   My kenmore elite he 3t will not dispense the bleach. The bleach cup retains the bleach throughout the complete cycle.-   bkbrownaz

-   I have a GE GBVH6260, and the fabric softener compartment is not getting rinsed out, the softener is still sitting there at the end of the cycle. I gather this is a solenoid or circuit board problem. How can I check the solenoids and water flush system to see if they are working properly. The detergent cleans out just fine.-   wolfedp

-   My GE front loader won't rinse out the fabric softener, and sometimes the bleach. The soap rinses out fine. I tried to stick a wire up in the hole above the softener tray to see if it's clogged, but no go.

A couple months ago I had another problem with it that I was able to fix from this website. It's a great resource! And certainly cheaper than the repair man!-   bookhead50

-   Kenmore Elite HE3 QuitePak 2, Model 110.45864587

Unit is about 3 years old.

Softener is not releasing during the wash cycle. The softener just stays in the cup. What is the problem? There is some mildew buildup in the washer dispenser. The soap is being dispensed properly.

PLEASE help!! Thanks... Tara Risner-   TaraRisner

Need a litle more inflormation from you if you could. What is the make and model number of the unit? Does water flow through the dispensers for rinsing action? If it is a front loader or higher dollar machine, the dispensers are sometimes controlled by the timer or control boards. They control water valves that control the rinsing water entering the chambers. This raises the level, and causes a siphon or flushing action at certian points of the wash cycles. There could be a nuber of issues, a bad timer or control board, bad water solinoid(s), wiring issues, or clogged hoses or ports. If this is a new washer, do you still have a service policy or warranty left with it? Let me know what kind the unit is and a model number and will try to help you out a little more. Thanks Jim

I've fixed part of this problem - I have a GE GBVH6260. I took the top cover off: first, take the three screws out behind the control panel at the front, then take the long skinny trim piece off, then take three screws out of the very back of the machine at the top. The top cover will now slide back and come off. There is a handy technician's manual taped to the frame under the lid. In the manual, there are instructions on how to test all the functions of the washer. Turns out the motor that moves the water spray from soap to bleach to fabric softener works just fine on my machine. The water spray just isn't very forceful, so we've watered down the fabric softener and maybe now it will flush out properly.
