BOUGHT IT OVER EBAY USED. IT WORKED FOR A MONTH. THE USB PORT WAS LOOSE WHEN WE GOT IT. IT STOPPED WORKING ON SUNDAY THE 14TH WHEN IT GOT BUMPED. MY BROTHER SOLDERED IT WHERE THE ONE SIDE OF THE USB PORT THAT CONNECTS TO CIRCUIT BOARD. WE TRIED TO REPLACE THE FRONT PART BY USING THE FRONT FROM ANOTHER CONVERTER BOX THAT WAS EXACTLY THE SAME BRAND, MODEL AND EVERYTHING THAT WE HAD BY UNPLUGGING THE WIRES FROM THE MAIN BOARD AND RECONNECTING TO THE OTHER MAIN BOARD THAT WAS IN THE BOX WE WERE TRYING TO FIX. IT WOULDN'T REBOOT. I PUT IT BACK IN ITS ORIGINAL BOX AND IT REBOOTED. I PUT THE NEWER BOX BACK TOGETHER AND TRIED TO SLIGHTLY WIGGLE THE USB TO SEE IF IT WOULD WORK, BUT NOTHING. THE OLDER SC-58 HAS A ANTENNA INPUT PROBLEM WE TRIED TO FIX BUT THE SIGNAL STRENGTH IS GREATLY WEAKENED. EVERTHING ELSE WORKS ON THE NEWER SC-58 BOX, JUST NOT THE USB INPUT.

This is not a solution(Sorry) , But I did want to say I have the same converter and it does the same exact thing until it warms up. It has to on to warm up (Green Light on). Keeping the unit on(Green Light on ) takes a TONS of Patience because it keeps turning itself off. I don't know what happened to this Converter but it does not work the way it did even 2 years after I bought it. I HOPE you do not have the problems I am having down the line. I would never buy any product made by this company again . I know things don't last forever , but these products should last longer then 2-21/2 years.
