*This was posted in another thread as a solution to your problem, it would seem that this procedure is for the TV savvy, and I would not recommend that you do this procedure, and that you bring it to a TV repair shop. Or if the TV is still under warranty that you turn it in. But if you are planning on following these instructions I wish you luck, and make sure you follow them to the word so you don't mess up your TV even more.

Found that the thermistor/temp measuring device is suspect, noresistance across legs. There is a label there that says F701 seeservice manual
http://www.goodmans.net/get_item_th-tf117c_thermal-fuse-117-degrees-celsius.htm
I went here for a tech manual for the Panasonic
tv.
http://www.ManualsParadise.com
then ordered
Manufacturer: Panasonic
Part Description: FUSE
Part Number: LSJA0411-1
from
PartStore.com
it was mounted to the case that holds the lamp. had to remove the backpanel, etc. Also think I had to splice in the fuse or something. was awhile ago.

i purchased a NTE8115 from my electronics supplier, closest I could find.
Radio shack also has them.

remove the back cover and measure for continuity across the thermal fuse
above the lamp housing.
if open jump it wth a 5 amp fuse, be sure to close the safety switch with
the small blue lever then try to power on.
If comes on ok you will need to replace the entire ballast assembly to get
that fuse.
Panasonic does not have a part number for just the fuse on the PT40LC
series.
It is possible to cut off the fuse and replace with another but dont solder

No power output or display.green standby light flashes.

Sounds like either a blown mainpower fuse or the thermal fuse for the power transformer. If the protect circuit was kicking in, the display would light up, but then turn off with a red blinking light. the green light with no display means the transformer is not getting power.

Wont turn on red blinking light

How many times this standby/power light blinks at one time switch ON? Count it carefully. These blinks are fault indication, and known as blinking codes. From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON; you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside the TV. This will make repair easy. For more information, check the link http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/. If the blinks continues, and non-stop, the fault should be with its main system control IC, and with the memory IC.

Replaced bulb yesterday worked fine. Today light will not turn on. projector turns on both lights green for 10 seconds, then power goes red and status blinks green for about 5 seconds, then status light...

green green is power on, normal
then it tries to light the lamp, but it can't so the protection circuit comes activated.
you get red and green blinking

Then it goes to standby, red and off.

so something has happened to the lamp, or lamp ballast power supply.
Take the lamp out and check if all is OK with the 2 terminals in the connector, and the leads to the lamp are intact.

Failing that, I would suspect the ballast lamp power unit

The standyby supply regulator is chirping, I relaced a blown limiting resistor R9AD2, 1.2ohm 5w and the IC9A20 reg. I cold checkec all diodes and resistors and the check ok. the standby voltages 5 and 12v...

For the most part even generic passives are fine. I wouldn't use generic actives because of reliability.
The power supply chirps and drops off because it is shutting down from an overcurrent condition. Try disconnecting other boards, one at a time, to isolate overload. If it still chirps check your IHVT (flyback) and HOT (horizontal output transistor). If the HOT reads shorted across any two legs, it is bad. The HOT drives the IHVT. The IHVT has multiple taps for various supplies. Sorry, I don't have a schematic to be able to tell you what voltages at what pins.

Problem on turning on the TV

Hello This is a case of the shhutdown circuit activating. I would suggest that you check the horizontal output transistor to see if it is short or open. Then I would check the IHVT (Integrated High Voltage Transformer)to see if it is open or shorted (to check for a shorted transformer do a ring test). In any event this should indicate is the transformer is good or not. If you have a background in electronics you can do the above test, if not please take this TV to a qualified TV technician. I hope this helps, Thank you, Shuttle83 http://www.electron-age-technologies-llc.com

PS3 doesn't appear on screen. Possible power issue.

Hello. There are a few causes for this. I will list acouple solutions for you.

1. Reset the Video Output Settings. While the PLAYSTATION 3 system is in standby mode (red light on the front of the system), hold down the touch-sensitive On/Off button on the front of the system until the system goes into standby mode again . (So the light cycle would go from: red light to --> green light --> then back to red light) This will ensure that you have held down the On/Off button long enough to reset the Video Output Settings. Once you turn it back on, it should work fine.
2. If option 1 does not work call Sony because the video out chip has blown or come unsoldered.

I hope this helps. Good luck to you.
