Do a visual check on the air filter, inside coil for freezing and the outside unit for obstruction of air flow. Check your owners manual to decode the flashing light. Good luck!

SOURCE: air conditioner

I managed to find the people who supplied the unit, it was still under warranty, and they said it was the thermistors (temprature probes, they replaced both of them) It is now working perfectly!

SOURCE: arcoair central heat /air conditioning unit

The blower motor kicks on when there has been a 24 volt control failure.

This usually means that a limit switch has tripped.

Most likely that would be a high temp limit switch or a rollout switch.

First, make sure the filters are clean. and the evap coil is clean. If eaither are dirty/clogged, it will partially block airflow, causing the furnace to overheat, causing the high temp limit to trip.

A rollout switch typically trips for three reasons.
1 flame rollout into the burner compartment due to poor airflow.
2 overheating af teh metal plate the rollout is mounted to, due to dirty, old, rusted components.
3 a bad limit switch.

If your unit has an LED light, count the flashes and it will hepl popint out the problem.
(locate the wiring diagram/flash code list, and correspond the flash count, with the code.)

First, check filters.

SOURCE: Blowing hot air, compressor not kicking on, just fan ? ?

are you speaking of the outside fan or inside? compressor should be a little warm but not boiling hot. the unit could be low on freon. if low it will run a while but the compressor will overheat and shut off leaving the fan running by itself ouside. if nothing outside is running check power. if you have power check the contacted outside to make sure it's pulled in. contacters are bad about going out on goodman untis. Also ants can get under contacts.

SOURCE: Amana Cooling Condensing Unit fan stops spinning after 15 mins

Capacitor, dirty condencer coil causing the motor amps to run too high. But most likely worn bearing on blade side of motor causing it to pull to one side causing it to over heat and shut down. Sleve bearings should have no side play.

SOURCE: Amana Cooling Condensing Unit fan won't kick on

be aware that not repairing this asap that you are causing yourself more problems First I would change out the fan capacitor and see if this could be the problem. Secondly if the capacitor isn,t the problem change out the motor . By continuing to allow the system to cycle like this the compressor will take a dive on you costing more . Good Luck

Testimonial: "Yes, it's dual run capacitor problem. I used a stick to spin the fan blades and it starts to slowly spin and up to normal speed, so motor is good."

Lights flashing on the inside unit Futitsu Split System during operation. What do they mean?

Called Flash Codes. First try turning off everything at the breaker for at least 2 hours and preferably overnight. Turn back on and wait 15 minutes for self test to complete.

Honeywell thermostatTemp set at 73 turning off and back on the 'cool on'flashes. After about five minutes it stays solid. the temperature drops from 84 to 81shuts down and the cool on flashing again.

Possibly have a backed up drain that is draining very slowly. Machine runs, produces enough water to trip the float switch, then turns off. Drain drains slowly, enough to clear the float switch, process starts all over. Check PVC at air handler for a piece with 2 wires connected. Remove the top and see if there is any signs of water. NEVER LEAVE SWITCH OUT. You must clear the drain. If no water, turn system to off and fan to on. Let machine run like this for a while and see if any "shut downs." If still a problem you either have a loose wiring connection or bad stat. If no problems with fan only, problem likely outside. Good Luck!!

Why is my air conditioner unit only running properly on cool days? when its hot out it only runs about 5 mins at a time then shuts off to fan and dont come back on for another 20 mins.

Do you hear a click sound as the compressor shuts down? If so that is the clixon (heat sensitive circuit breaker) that is opening and shutting down the compressor when it overheats. You have not had the AC filled with refrigerant so overfilling the unit cannot be an issue.
And if it is not overfilled overheating is caused by excessive current going into the motor which could indicate a problem with the motor windings..

OR, If the thermostat is faulty it could be prematurely shutting down the compressor. If you jump (bypass) the therm and unit does not shut off then you have found the culprit.

We have 2.0 HP inverter wall mounted LG aircon, when we turn on the ac, the indoor unit only is running and shut down after 3 mins. What is the solution?

Hi Marie, does the green indicator light on the front panel flash after it shuts down? If it does...count how many times it flashes this will refer to a fault code diagnostic.

After one heat cycle, the blower motor keeps running, even after cool down is complete. The furnace will not refire until i turn off the power and wait about 20 minutes for a reset.

your limit switch is opening up, that causes constant fan. Check for flashing codes after flame shuts off and fan continues. Check airflow, filters, lack on return air for possible hi temp limit problems.

TOYO TA-09CHS aircon problem

TOYO mini split air conditioner made in Japan is very very good quality and it can runs for 20 years without any problem. You didn't hire a best ac technician to install your TOYO unit. The tubing connection between indoor unit and outdoor unit is not the right torque and refrigerant leak. Your TOYO unit runs out of refrigerant. You need fix the leak and fully charge the system. You will solve the problem.

Need to know if indoor unit fan shuts off at desired temperature

Check your operating instructions and see if indoor fan unit has an "auto" feature that allows the fan to run only when the outdoor unit is running. Allowing the indoor fan to run constantly will provide for better air circulation and less stagnation but will use more energy.

Fan runs, shuts down on cool

Sounds like a power supply problem. There is enough power to run the fan but when you turn it to cool the current draw by the compressor drops the voltage. The lower power light is telling you the answer to your problem.
