Most likely the set has lost vertical sweep or the feedback from that circuit. This will shut the set down to prevent a horizontal line from burning the face of the CRT. This will have to be looked at by a technician.

Hello,
There seem to be a problem with the power panel of the television that is why it does not power on if you leave it over the night without trying to turn it on.
Flashing the green power LED light simply means there is a problem in the unit that is why it keeps cutting.
Run a check on the power panel of the television to see if there is a burnt capacitor in the unit, then replace if you find any, also, a cold joint can be a cause for the problem whereby, you have the lead on a capacitor or component melted off and bridging two wrong ends together. That can be corrected with the use of a soldering iron.
If you are not familiar with technical activities, i would strongly advice you have a repairman run a check and fix it for you. It should not cost you much and if it is still under the warranty period, then you can take it back to the dealer that supplied it to you.
Take care

This is an indication that you have a problem on the power
supply section because of: - Leaky Capacitor - a dried up
main filter capacitor or other filter capacitor in the low voltage power supply
that is producing an out-of-regulation condition until it warms up. A bad
filter capacitor on the output of a series regulator may result in excessive
voltage and subsequent shutdown. - A problem with the
microcontroller, relay or its driver, or standby power supply. This is not DIY and quite technical so I've advice you to
look for a qualified technician or send it to repair shop to isolate the
problem. The symptom will get worst and worst. But first check if your unit is under warranty then avail it
because the manufacturer of your unit will fix it for free or with a little charge
only. Thanks for using fixya. Please rate my help.

Plasma and LCD TV sets are prone to having capacitors in the power supply section fail. This is the most likely cause for the probem you describe. When capacitors fail your will commonly see one or more of the following symptoms.
