Hello. You have one of two problems.
1. Your drain hose is too far into the drain causing a constant drain. You will need to pull it out and adjust it to where it is only in the pipe about 6 inches.

2. The hose is in the drain and tape off. If this is the case, you will need to untape it and install a genesis valve. You can get a genesis valve(siphon break) at your local plumbers shop.

This issue calls siphoning effect. It happens when the drain hose was somehow lower or not stand vertically. It causes no air pressure column in the drain hose to keep the water out. Check the drain hose and make sure it is high enough. Try to hold the drain hose straight up and see if it is happened before having further inspection.

As soon as the machine starts drawing water for the washing cycle it drains the water immediately. Any suggestions?

Yes, make sure the drain hose where it goes into the drain is higher than the console of the machine. Also make sure it only goes 6 to 8 inches down into the drain. I this is already the case, they make a siphon break that goes on the drain hose that will prevent this. you can find one at any appliance parts house.

Washer fills and drains repeatedly

Have a look at the routing of your drain hose. It sounds a bit as if: a. The highest point of the hose isn't high enough (you normally want to aim for about 3 feet off the ground) - so that water starts draining from the machine before it is finished filling. and b. There isn't an effective air break or anti-siphon valve where the drain hose goes into the domestic drainage system - so that once the machine starts to drain by itself, it continues until empty. A.
