Question about Coleman Heating & Cooling
Runs fine on full cool setting on thermostat but the compressor lugs down when it try's to cycle. I have replaced the thermostat and start capacitor and the problem persists
It could be that your unit is going into thermal overload. This can happen from several factors. Unit could be dirty(inside or outside coils) they can be cleaned with a degreaser or 409, but must be rinsed thoroughly. Location of indoor coils is close to where the indoor fan is, you'll need a 1/4 or 5/16ths driver to remove protective panel. Or your unit may be short on freon or the compressor valves are shot. These items need to be checked by a certified Tech. Good luck and reply if you have further info
