I replaced the photoconductor unit. Now, the first page printed has verticle colored lines on it. What do I need to do? Subsequent pages usually clear up, but each new print job has the first page ruined by the verticle collored lines down the center of the page.

Make sure the toner trap is cleared out, open the front panel (A) on your right hand side there will be a leaver to pull out, pull this and on the right side of the printer there is a little blue cap, take this off, pull out the trap and wipe it off with a cloth and puch it back. put the cap back and also the front leaver and close (A). Hopes this help

Lexmark c532n prints smudges on page

The problem could be caused by the photoconductor units. Try to swap the affected photoconductor units (like swap the magenta with black and cyan with yellow). If problem still occurs, then the photoconductors need replacement. I suggest you contact Lexmark Technical Support for assistance. Thanks

Vertical lines printing on one side of the page

9 times out of 10 this is coming from one of the two drum (photoconductor) units. Just open the right side door, release the waste toner box, and remove the 2 drum units. The larger one is the color drum unit and the smaller one is the black. Look down thru the slot in the top of the unit (3 slots in the color drum) and look at the green colored drum surface. On one end or the other you should be able to see the same lines on the drum surface that you are seeing on the paper. One of the 2 drum units should have the lines and that will tell you which one will need to be replaced. Hopefully it will be the black drum unit as they are relatively cheap. The color ones are $350 to $400
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

Blue dotted line of right side of paper

Sounds like the cyan photoconductor unit needs to be replaced. Usually what ever the color dot is that photoconductor has a pinhole in it and the only to get rid of it is to replace it.

Seems to print a red or yellow line down the edge about 1 to 2mm wide, prints black fine. All toners over half full. Test page seems fine but can see red line along edge.

What ever color the line is you need to replace that photoconductor unit. They can be ordered from a Ricoh dealer and come with instructions for installing.

Center of page is not printing black

I changed out our black photoconductor unit #165 and it solved the problem. Even though the error message did not say that the photoconductor needed changed out, it had been eight months since the last replacement. I hope this helps!
