Re: no power

Sounds like it may be frozen.

Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds, then try turning it on.

If that doesnt work, remove the 4 screws on the back and take out the battery. Leave it out for a minute or two, then put it back in place and try powering it on.

Best of Luck.

I dont understand my ipod touch it wont turn on if i try to charge it nothing happens i tried plugging it in to my computer but nothing comes up in i tunes or on the computer i just set my ipod down to go...

I suggest you take out the battery and be sure the charge line is disconnected. Give about 3 minutes and then put the batteries back. You will asked to load manufacture settings or personal. Try first your personal settings. It this does not work then reset though, keep in mind you will LOSE any information you had stored on it of you reboot it with Manufacture software

Need help with set up on SMPK8099. When loading software on my computer from the disk I got a warning that further installation will damage my computer which uses XP. I disconnected the player, ejected...

I got the same thing on my computer when I put the disc in. Really I didnt even need to load it in my computer. I use MP3 rocket pro and load all my songs syncin them with windows media player. I also did not see the battery icon flashing but I left it plugged into the computer and let it charge a while. When you turn the power on ant the top of the mp3 player turn power on and press power button on the keypad on front surface of mp3 player. It is the bottom button at 6 oclock try that and see what happens. Make sure to hold button in for a couple seconds.

I'll begin by saying that this is an 8GB Creative Zen MX, and NOT a 16GB, but I believe the solution may be the same. My zen will not turn on, or connect to my computer. This happened just yesterday...

just pressing the reset button is not enough.

Try this:

1. To reset the player, gently insert a thin object into the Reset hole located below the power switch.

2. Press and hold the Play/Pause button while powering on your player.

3. When the player displays the Creative logo, release the Play button.

Depending on the model you can also use following procedure:
1. Remove the battery.

2. Move and hold the Power button to the Power On position and re-insert the battery to the Zen Vision. Hold the Power button until the Recovery Mode appears.

Samsung K5 trouble shooting

Just a question, is there a button that has to be in a certain position while charging? I had a similar problem with my daughters ipod of a different company. I am not sure if this will help or not. I hope it does.

My battery died ,it won't turn on and the computer can't see it

try to restore your ipod via DFU mode. Here is a great step by step guide to do that.

Don't open the ipod up yourself as this will void the warrenty.

Since this seems to be a hardware issue, you will need to bring it in for service.

if you wish to return the ipod for service, you can find a local apple reseller by calling apple on 1-800-MY-APPLE

Or you can visit an apple retail store by visiting

Hope this helps.

Archos 604 wifi

Are you sure the battery is charged? If so, try detach and retach the battery. Also try to attach to your computer via the usb cable and the 604 should turn on by itself, if nothing happens you need to send back to Archos for repair.

Try plugging it in to a USB port and then perform a reset. It worked for me. Doing it in that order worked but if I tried doing one or the other.... no worky.
