Have researched a bit. Several say to go to the host routing table and register. Have done so but not sure that message is going through, host routing tables say no entries. Also my BIS connection says not connected. some places say that needs to be connected.

Get message when trying ti connect to internet......unable to connect to the internet, please try again later.....if problem persists please contact your administrator.....been like it for months

Is there a blackberry symbol near your wireless signal strength indicator (top right corner of home screen)? If the blackberry symbol is there, then you are connected to the RIM network, just don't have an internet connection from your service provider, or it is blocked by your BES network administrator if you are on a work phone.

If you are paying your service provider for data access, then you should contact them as it is likely a problem with your account. If you are on a work device, then you should contact your IT department as either the internet is disabled on their devices, or there is a problem with the settings relating to your device.

If messages are still going through fine for email and BBM, then it isn't a problem with your phone, but with whatever service it is connected to.

I'v deleted app icons on h/scrn. Help me get them back.

1 of 2 things could be happening with your device.

1. Your icons are hidden from view on your homescreen.
To "show all" icons on your homescreen do as follows.

From the home screen push the button that looks like the 'Blackberry Logo' and then check 'Show All" from the Menu

2. The Service books are failing to send to the device. The service books for Blackberrys control everything for the internet browser to Email delivery. So in the upper right hand corner of your device it should show something like the following. 1xev or ra ... something along those lines. If they are lowercase, that means your device is not receiving its service books like planned. If they are upper case 1XEV or RA or so on etc. Then you are receiving your books.

What to do in order to get your books back. Go to Options ---> Advanced Options ---> Host Routing Tables ---> Click the Button with the blackberry symbol ---> Select Register Now.
This should get your blackberry back on track.

Note: When you do this allow 5mins of uninterrupted time for the black berry to send recieve data and restore your service books.. Interrupting it may lead to troulbes. Try not to touch many buttons during the loading process.

Hope this Helps,

Marty

I have the blackberry curve 8530 for sprint and I want to switch it to the verizon network, how can I go about doing this?

You just have to unlock your phone totally and permanently from other networks so you switch to Verizon network. You can do this by purchasing the SPRINT BLACKBERRY CURVE 8530 unlock codes from a SPRINT BLACKBERRY unlock code provider. This way, your phone will be 100% SIM lock free..

Cant find the browser on my 9530 storm!!!!

Are you able to receive emails on your device? Do you see a 1xev, 1XEV, or 1X?

There are a few places you can look if you are able to get email.

First, Click the Blackberry menu button so you can see all your icons.
If you dont see the Browser Icon on this list, it may have been moved to another folder, or hidden.

If hidden please follow the steps below:
-Press the blacberry menu button
-Select Show all
-Locate the greyed out icon that says Browser
-Highlight it, dont open it, select the blackberry menu button
-Select Hide, this will take off the check next to Hide.
-Select the Blackberry menu button
-Select Show All - this will rehide the hidden icons

If in another folder:

-Choose the folder
-Repeat steps above until you find the Browser Icon

Chances are it might have accidently been hidden or moved to a folder.

How do I access the internet, and set up email?

Depending on your provider, its easier to go online to do it.

Verizon - https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=vzw
Sprint - https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=sprint
ATT - bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=mycingular

If your provider is neither of these, go to Google and type ATT blackberry login. The ATT is the provider, so insert your provider here.

Once there, you will need to create a new account. It will ask for your pin, so go to Options, Status, and you should see your PIN there. Once you are in, you can create email accounts to go to you Blackberry.

As for the Internet, you should be able to out of the box if its active and you have connectivity. if you see 1xev, you dont have data service, however if it says 1XEV in caps, you have data service.

For Verizon customers, dial *228, option 2. This will up date your wireless roaming capabilities.

If all this fails, you might need to go into the store or contact support from another phone.

Thank you,
Dan

Blackberry curve 8330's blocking mobile network

Sounds like you're in a dead zone. If not then ...

Check in the upper left corner... IF:

1x = you are not connected to any data at all - No emails, text, internet will work send/receive.

1xev= you're connected to data but not blackberry usually the same as above though sometimes you might get lucky and receive only text/pix messages.

1X= Phone calls only. Usually no data (email, text, web, etc)

1XEV = everything is connected and you should be working fine.

If you have 1XEV (upper case and lower case matter ALOT...everything should always be UPPERCASE) and you're still having that problem then go to:

options> advanced options> host routing table

In the host routing table click the button to the left of the roll ball (called the blackberry button) and click on "Register now" and just leave the phone alone for a minute so it can register all your service books again. Then try the web again.

If all else fails pullthe battery and try again ..> Still no good? Call your carrier.

Hope this helps
