Question about Kenwood KVT-617DVD Car DVD Player
Its a safety feature, the dvd player can only work when your car is in park or if your park break is on, reason being is that the dvd player is grounded so that when your parked you can watch a movie safely, i know boring!!! so all you need to do is find where its grounded at the park break and re-ground the wire to a area that isn't a break( anywhere other then your break switch) and the dvd will play wen in motion. what i mean by this is that there is a little switch in your centre console where when your break is on the button is down allowing power to the wire, when the break is up it releases the power giving no juice to the wire allowing the dvd player to ground and not work. all you need is to make the wire able to work without being attached to anything other then a live ground. i hope that helped, as i had this problem and was so frustrated until i figured it out take care, matt
